After his logic at the end of the game I don´t question you. Of course I picked Carolina winning the Super Bowl ... woot ... One step closer, unfortuantely no news on Stephen Davis.

Rich Kotite looked pretty dumb during his 4-35 stretch while "coaching" the Eagles and Jets.

Definitely the most arrogant and smug. Makes his idiocy that much funnier. I don´t think John Fox looked all that bright running those two worthless plays in between FG attempts either.

I´m no defender of Martz. But to that point, Rams had scored only 1 TD in 3, 4 or 5 trips to the end zone and that one TD was after a PI call (questionable one too).

So the Rams hadn´t executed that well in the red zone that game and Bulger had thrown 2 ints. up to that point?

What would have happened if he took shots in the end zone and they threw an int. or took sacks to make the game tying FG more difficult? Because the Rams pass protection had been a problem in the previous game against the Lions and in some other games during the season. I recall at least one instance in which they took a sack at the end of a game and didn´t have the chance to kick a FG and in other instances where they fumbled away the ball in the red zone.

Don´t know how they fared in TD percentage in the red zone this year. The safest kind of pass might be to loop it up in the corner, the kind of thing where a WR has a height advantage over the DB. But the Rams really don´t have that kind of WR.

The last Detroit Lions coach, Marty M., who took the wind instead of the ball in overtime at Chicago two years ago. This was after he just won the coin toss.

But, Martz yesterday comes really close.

After last night, I´d put the Packers coaches up on that list. 4th and 26 and you can´t stop them? WTF?!? I think that play was more the fault of a player of two rather than the coaching though. I´m willing to bet that after they look at the tape, somebody like Jue was in the wrong spot.

They made Pinkston and Mitchell look like Holt and Bruce. Truly pathetic DBs. They got lucky the week before when Harris intercepted that ball. Now they showed everyone what they truly are.

Yeah but notice in the Philly-GB game that before the Eagles sent it to OT with a tying FG, they took a couple of shots in the end zone and both times, a Packer DB got a shot at ints?

Not only that, the last play before the FG, McNabb was almost sacked and with no timeouts, a sack would have let the clock run out and the Eagles would have lost in regulation.

There are no low-risk plays in the red zone, especially against a playoff team.

It was really a team effort for the Packers to lose. Favre played a big role with an interception even a rookie QB would have been ashamed of and a couple bad throws on 3rd downs. The special teams also had a couple costly penalties and allowed some good kickoff returns. I don´t understand why the Packers didn´t bring pressure on 4th and 26. They sacked McNabb 5 times in the 3rd and 4th quarters. It takes time to run a 26 yard pattern. I also don´t agree with Sherman´s decision to punt on 4th down, especially considering the Packers had over 200 yards rushing in the game. If I have at least a 50/50 chance to win the game right there on the road I take it. Sherman really let that stuff at the goal line cloud his judgment and he didn´t have the balls to try again. As an Eagles fan I was relieved when Sherman punted the ball.

I´m glad the Eagles won, but it was a gift.

I didn´t think the end of regulation was played that badly by Martz at all. Given where he was four minutes before, sending the game to OT was a hell of a deal. And if Bulger got picked in the endzone like McNabb almost got picked in the Eagles game, he would have been ten times stupider for passing up the field goal.

What I don´t understand is in their first OT drive when they got to the 35 yard line, why did he get so conservative then? Banking on a 53 yard FG is a lot dicier than the 35 yard one he tied the game with, and a turnover wouldn´t kill you then. I think his dumbest move was not trying for more in that first OT drive.
Funny, where I grew up in northcentral PA it was either/or. You either loved the Steelers and hated the Eagles or vice versa. As a matter of fact I can remember "gang fights" on the elementary playgrounds between Steelers and Eagles fans, and fights over who was better Franco or Wilbert.

LOL. I grew up about 1 1/2 hours northeast of Pittsburgh. 90% of people love the Steelers (I consider it a birthright!). Those same type of elementary school fights usually occurred in my area between Steeler fans and the few Cowboys or Browns´ fans.

I didn´t even meet an Eagles´ fan until I moved to Central PA about 9 years ago. Since the Steelers only play the Eagles once every four years and the Eagles are on TV here every week I´ve adopted them as my NFC team.
