That's an interesting read there... my anticipation went up a notch after reading it. While I'm not interested in Destiny 2, the game performance improvement they speak of in the "unpatched" version of Destiny 2, gives me hope that we might see some frame rate improvements in PGA TOUR 2K21. That game needs to be played at or near 60 FPS to be fully enjoyed!sportdan30 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 10:18 amPreview of the Series X.

Thanks, just to show how out of it I am, I was actually referring to purchasing the Xbox One Series X console. I assume I am SOL there at this point.vader29 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 5:27 amMicrosoft store and Best Buy have it up for preorder:

Join the club, wasted 2 hours of my life last week, got one from Best Buy only for them to cancel the order. Realized it was just FOMO hitting me and I will happily sit and wait, not like I need it right away.

Sniff, sniff went to GS to trade in my PS4 Pro for credit towards my Series X preorder. They gave me $280, maybe could have gotten more if I sold it privately but with COVID I just went for GS. With some previous credit on the store, I now only owe $150 for my purchase.
Maybe we’ll see back next year for the PS5 Sony, it’s been fun.

Re: Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5
You're not going to get much more unless you do like Craigslist or something...the value is plummeting currently. Selling mine to a buddy for 250, just to be nice.10spro wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 3:32 pmSniff, sniff went to GS to trade in my PS4 Pro for credit towards my Series X preorder. Re: Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5
$280 sounds a like a pretty fair deal this late in the generation of the PS4. I'm surprised they gave you that much.10spro wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 3:32 pmSniff, sniff went to GS to trade in my PS4 Pro for credit towards my Series X preorder. Re: Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5
That was in Canadian money, probably $240-$250 US down south. Mind you, the machine was in immaculate conditions if they care for that. Even had the original boxes etc.sportdan30 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 10:00 am$280 sounds a like a pretty fair deal this late in the generation of the PS4. You're taking the route that's going to be the least hassle for you (which is the route I would take if I were selling mine) and you're paying a bit of a premium for that. I don't think you'll regret it once you get your Series X in business!10spro wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 10:58 amThat was in Canadian money, probably $240-$250 US down south. I decided I'm going to move my rec room One X to the bedroom, where it will replace an OG XBox One, rather than trade it in. The One X is just so much nicer than the original, even for Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Re: Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5
I'm also taking this approach - I'll give Sony some time to lure me in with a great selection of exclusives, but for now the Series X and GamePass makes sense. Who knows, by the time I'm ready for a PS5, maybe they will come out with a slim version/reduced price...I love owning all of the consoles, but not sure I will have the time to play everything. My Switch has gotten some more playtime as well. I would recommend Hades (Supergiant Games) to everyone...Early days with it, but might be my GOTY.
Re: Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5
If Sony wanted me to won a PS5, they should not have made it 19 inches tall. It literally will not fit on my TV stand. Which is insane considering what I and everybody wondered about the Series X when it was revealed, like how would THAT fit under my TV.
I'm getting closer and closer to wanting Series X or S in the launch window. But I'm still going to wait until consoles are available in stores or easily ordered. I'm probably more likely to get an S and use it inb my office on my 1080p monitor. Then get a Series X when it drops in price or gets refreshed.
Sony will do a slim PS5. The PS4 Slim was a great price, came with Uncharted 4, and already had most of solo games available for it. It was great to own for two years and ship to my daughter. Will do the same this gen. With Game Pass the extra power, and the cool game switching feature, which is probably going to insanely popular with my wife, who hates waiting for anything, I don't see how Sony can be a primary console in our house.

Bummer. Sorry about that. Here's hoping both consoles are available on release day in the store.J_Cauthen wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 12:47 pmGone now however... I just tried to ordersportdan30 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 12:36 pmTarget has some preorders for the Xbox Series X this morning.

I believe you can lay it horizontally.Aristo wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 11:32 pmIf Sony wanted me to won a PS5, they should not have made it 19 inches tall. It literally will not fit on my TV stand. Will look odd but it is suppose to work.

Yep. No problem for either the PS5 or XBSX to lay horizontally.wco81 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 3:43 pmI believe you can lay it horizontally.Aristo wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 11:32 pmIf Sony wanted me to won a PS5, they should not have made it 19 inches tall. That’s the problem. I have two cubby shelves under my tv. Both are 18” wide. I currently have a Switch, One X, DVR and Apple TV on those shelves. But a PS5 will not fit by itself.
The Series X has about 6 inches of clearance, and 3 inches of headspace.

Sweet Lord that was impressive
Re: Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5
Dammit... I'll be happy when the initial release is over so I can order my new Xbox Series X. Can't wait to see Madden 21 and eventually NHL 22. A tomb raider would be awesome too!
