Best Buy up now.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/microsoft- ... Id=6428324
Have it in my cart but it won’t let me checkout.
Same. Hit Checkout probably 30 times, with no luck. Finally got a message saying Series X was no longer available.

Oh, well: I'll live.

Best Buy's site is crap! Tried to secure another one for anyone on here, but after 100 plus clicks, it was no longer available for shipping. And I was at the payment screen. :(

Offer still stands. Will trade for a PS5 if anyone is able to pre-order one.

You would think in this era of kickstarter that they could come up with a better way. Maybe offer your Live subscribers a way to preorder then you know how many to make.

Both these companies just love the PR this type of bullshit give them.

I don't understand why it would be so difficult for there to be an option to pre-order say anywhere from 6 months in advance if you are currently a Xbox Live member. You could simply put a pre-order check out button on Live. Your card would get charged when it ships. Microsoft would then know exactly how many initial Series S or X they would need built.

Danimal nailed the bull's-eye. Companies love the PR created by artificial scarcity. It builds buzz and makes a product even more desirable to consumer lemmings who want the latest and greatest toy, even if they're not hardcore gamers like us.

Right they will sell these consoles to us eventually but this is more about their ego then treating customer right and honestly I'm more mad I wasted 2 hours trying to get one then I am I didn't get one. The system you propose Dan is simple and spot on, which is why they will never do it.

Also why on earth is the MS Store sold out? They should know exactly when they will have more stock and let people buy and say arrives Dec. 10th etc.

I hear BB, Walmart, Amazon, Target, MS Store all being sold out or luring you guys into an online checkout and then disappear. (Happening here too in Canada). Does GS still run south of the border? I ask because I am terrible weak and I am in the queue physically speaking and guaranteed to have a preorder as they just gave me a ticket. Just a thought as I didn’t see many of you mentioning GS?

Man, I am weak...

I've seen some anecdotal cases of people grabbing physical pre-orders from GS. A local example said they had 10, but I believe some of the guys were in line from midnight.

Between quarantine and the ever-increasing trend toward online shopping, I'm sure online was the option chosen by an overwhelming majority of shoppers.

Also, GS is closing some 450 stores and appears to be a sinking ship to many, I expect.

Hopefully those of us just now securing the console through BB have these pre-orders honored. I believe I'd heard some folks lost their PS5 pre-orders a day or two later due to oversell.

*fingers crossed*

Well ordered a third one and this time for pickup at Best Buy so went in and canceled my Walmart shipped one. I MAY have an extra console as I think my bro was successful picking up from BB in San Diego as well. So I'll let the less fortunate know once I actually have them. But then again, cancelations are a possibility as GameSeven just stated.

I pre-ordered one from the Walmart website. At least that’s what I thought. Got a message that it did not go through. I ended up pre-ordering one from Best Buy about an hour ago. Then I get an email from Walmart that my original order DID go through. So now I have two pre-orders LOL. If anyone is in a pinch just let me know and I will hold onto both and ship one to you. Otherwise I’m just going to cancel one of them.

If you have two on order, I'd keep em. Just in case of cancelation. You can always sell one if you get both, without a markup like an a-hole.

Agreed. I’m gonna see how things progress over the next few weeks. If both orders look good I’ll check back in here and see if anyone still hasn’t gotten a preorder.

Struck out here. But I also didn't check much after about noon (ET). Having a Series X on release day would have been nice, but it's not up there with food, water, music and MILF porn among life's necessities.

I'll get one eventually, probably around Black Friday.

I was working and using the BB phone app so I didnt have time to screw around with the too many dicks on the dance floor lag at checkout. So I said f*** it.

BUT.... then I saw these posts so back to my phone I went.

Good work boys or is it bad work? At least for now I have one coming.

I am not a fan of that at all. They should figure it out and take care of every one of those customers. Its on them.

Hey guys... haven't posted on here in a while but thought I would share my experience. Tried at 11AM yesterday on the Target, Gamestop and Best Buy websites. Even had my wife trying on her computer but no no luck. 11:30AM, I started calling some of the local Gamestop (Syracuse, NY area) to see if they had pre-orders. They said they did but all sold out. There was one local Gamestop that didn't open until noon, so I quickly headed over there. Got there a few minutes before Noon and they were open. They said they normally open at Noon, but opened at 11AM today for the pre-order and they were sold out. He said they were only given 4, yes 4 to sell and 6 guys had camped out overnight and were in line. He said they expect to get more to sell pre-order (along with PS5) in the upcoming weeks, but has no idea when or how many, though he wasn't expecting them to get a large amount.

Woke up this morning to a phone call from my credit card company. There was a nearly $600 charge on my credit card. Target had charged my credit card for the XBOX. However, I checked my Target account, and confirmed my order never went through. Thankfully my credit card company never put through the charge.

Just a heads up you may want to make sure you weren't charged for an order you didn't get.

Rick

I'd be willing to bet that you'll be able to get a system either via pre-order leading up to launch or even at a retailer on launch day.
