Last Gen NCAA Basketball Games - which to get?

Post by Inuyasha »

I'm missing NCAA Basketball on the current gen and would like to buy last gen's bball games.

For EA's version and 2K's version , which version was the best?

NCAA March Madness / NCAA Basketball ?

College Hoops 2k# ?

This. Sure as hell wish it could be played on the xb1, though...

One of the finest basketball games ever made, varsity or JV.

The create a play and create a playbook was epic. I created an unstoppable wing offense and took tiny UC Riverside all the way to the national title in career mode. LOVED that game!

I looked on Ebay and these games are something like $50-$100+!

I had a Gamestop $20 giftcard laying around for years so went in there and they didnt have college hoops but had NCAA Basketball 10 for $40.

Decided to buy it as I have 30 days to return but holy moly, what an awesome game.

It holds up really well and the graphics are still amazing. The colors pop and the gameplay is smooth.

Back then I actually preferred EA's NCAA BBall game over 2K's because it was more on the arcade side and simple. Better for me to pickup and play while 2K's game was more hardcore.

I think i'll stick w/ this one for now.

Really enjoying it.

i dont think so. none of those old ea games are i think. I think only Fight Night Champions they released as BC which is free on ea access. but i still have my 360.

The current generation really hasn't been doing it for me sports gaming wise.

There were so many quality titles last gen that still hold up all these years later.

I play NCAA Football 11 from time to time. Still a great game.

I think I'll pick up one of the Tiger Wood games too. They're pretty cheap on Ebay. Also for soccer I'll end up getting FIFA World Cup South Africa. That was a great game.

For me you can't beat TW'13 and '14. Two very fun games with a boatload of courses and great gameplay when you up the difficulty. Still prefer those over what we have today. Wish EA wouldn't have screwed the pooch with their Golf game.

Agreed. Personally Prefer TW'11 the most. TW'12 had the Masters.

and yes, how EA screwed up everything good about the TW games in this gen. still don't know why they just quit. you don't need a name on th covert sell a golf game. Tiger Woods was the exception, not the rule. I would save everything you can by not licensing a single real golfer, let alone a cover guy, and invest in licensed courses.

The reality is, what most folks really love about a great sim golf game is the ability to play courses you might never get to play in real life. Take the RM base game and do that, and then add in Country clubs like TW has, and EA would blow TGC out of the water. I don't understand why they don't just move on from RM. The base game was fine. It just wasn't finished.

If you can find a copy, there are those who still put out rosters. I have last year's rosters for example. Still plays and looks great.

Do you have a link to directions on how to get updated rosters into the game or is it online in the Locker or whatever they called it? I still have the game, but it's been years since I've popped it in.
