Hoping for a ManU win tomorrow. Some dude in Malaysia tweeted before the ManU v PSG game how the scoring would happen. Check this out: "Step forward United fan Timmy Chin, who lives in Malaysia and decided to offer a pre-match prediction on Twitter.

"Honestly got a good feeling about this," he wrote at precisely 7.54pm. "Probably either we get totally hammered or we really put on a show. Lukaku with 2. PSG comes back with 1 and Rashford fires home 92 mins into injury time!"

So the players have offered him a signed shirt from the team if he accurately predicts the score with Arsenal. He's saying Arsenal 2, ManU 4 and Lukaku scores 2 goals.

My 2009 720p Panny plasma still is rocking just fine. Can't beat the 600 hZ refresh rate for fast-action sports.

You have no clue do you?

I have a friend who still watches tv on a big tube and still does not have cable or internet so I guess you could be worse off.

No clue about what?

No clue about a $34,000 annual tuition bill, climbing to $50K plus next year, all so our kids aren’t saddled with crushing student debt?

No clue about never carrying a monthly credit card balance for the last 28 years?

No clue about having three cars but only one payment?

No clue about having a nice wad saved for retirement?

No clue about having my house nearly paid off almost three years early and also owning a vacation house in the mountains?

No clue about doing all of this without a cent of Lucky Sperm Club money?

Yeah, you’re right: I have no clue.

Dang, what a game. Thought it was gonna be another 0-0 or 1-1 draw, not a fairly competent Liverpool win. Just when you get frustrated with Salah hogging the ball a bit on that ball he lost in the box he makes one of the best passes I've ever seen to Mane to ice it. What a game.

Four English teams in the final eight. No doubt the Premier League is the top European domestic league in 2018-19. Case closed.

I've watched that Liverpool-Bayern match through twice in its entirety, and what really jumped out the second time was Liverpool's tactical discipline. Klopp, like most sports figures, gets branded as a rather one-dimensional figure. He's the all-passion, heavy metal football guy. But he set that team up so perfect0ly to blunt the Munich attack. If it had been another manager, that's all we would be hearing today.

In the first match, despite the scoreline, Munich played into space along the flanks to create in the final-third. They had some success with this early in this game as well, looking early for Ribery. But as the game developed, particularly after Fabinho came on, Klopp dropped two of the 3 midfielder's deeper and wider, cutting off the early ball up the flanks. It was beautiful to see time-and-time again the German back-4 forced to play long balls to Lewandowski and others in the middle, where they were dealt with easily by Matip and Virgil. Just a simple change, adhered to with great discipline, that change the entire pattern of play between the two games. This is really the kind of thing for which we would see a more taciturn manager hailed brilliant.

Also, I've written 29 sonnets dedicated to the Salah outside-of-the-boot cross. :D :D :D

The other thing that shocked me was how little Bayern used Gnabry...he was the highlight of the first match...he barely touched it yesterday. Like you said, they were attacking Alexander-Arnold up the left with Ribery, which didn't really amount to anything at all. And in the second half they tried to go up the middle. Coman was probably the scariest guy on Bayern yesterday but he only played a third of the match.

You're def right, as soon as Fabinho came on they dropped back a touch and made it damn near impossible to penetrate. As as much as I hate to do it, I have to agree w/ the ESPN article this morning about how important Van Djik is to this team defensively. And clearly over the last week he's getting into the action on the goal scoring end as well picking up 3 headers. LOL.

Mane's first goal could be one of my favorite ever...the full speed first touch, stop with the ball, spin to the left and the perfect weak footed chip into the corner over the defenders. Just a thing of beauty.

I'm struggling to think of a better central defender in the world than Van Dijk right now. Dude has been BRILLIANT all season.

Van Dyke is is on another level. Hes Firmino on defense but better. While firmino makes the attack better Van Dyke makes the whole team better.
Hes just making it look so easy right now and although he did make a couple of mistakes against Bayern and some of the only ones you've seen this season, you cant forget that this was a Bayern team that was on top form and starting to steam roll.
The second half performance was really impressive, Bayern had no answer.

Come on you reds.

What a draw for Liverpool. Facing probably the weakest team in Porto, then avoiding City again in the semifinals appears to be a win by itself.

Quarterfinals:

1. Liverpool vs. Porto
2. Barcelona vs. ManU
3. Man City vs. Tottenham
4. Juventus vs. Ajax

Semifinals:

Winners of 1 vs 2
Winners of 3 vs 4

I'm more excited to see City v Spurs 3x in 11 days. Even in their weakened state, I expect Tottenham to go at them hammer-and-tongs, which will put more physical pressure on the squad than a matchup against one of the continental sides. Helps us in both league and cup.

Goal keeping reminiscent of last years champions league final that was.

Salah and Liverpool both need a goal desperately and Spurs provided.

Taking care of business...

Gotta love it!

They may look back at this game should they win the PL. Since Son came in, not only Spurs tied the game thanks to a brilliant heads up by Kane but also had two brilliant chances to go ahead, one by Alli and the two on one between Sissoko and Son. The Frenchman did Liverpool a big favour.

Even with the tie, things didn’t look good at all for Liverpool in the standings. But that’s the drama of footie for you, just when you least expected a weak header nonetheless by Salah seals the victory.
