One of the dark zones opens up at the end of the beta story. It's SO much fun.

Terry and I played on the PC for a bit last night. Was a lot of fun, calling out enemies, working together to take them down.

Terry said the PC load times were a lot better than the XB but I will still probably get both. I can see myself losing my whole / spring summer to this game.

Yeah, there's almost no loading on PC. A couple of seconds to get into the game, but even on XBox, it was just waiting that 30secs or a minute to load into the game. After that, I didn't have a lot of issues.

Mouse & keyboard is so much better for a game like this, though. I'll still end up with both, but most of my "me" time with the game will likely be on PC. I'll play with friends on XBox (Teal and PK, I assume you're both getting it lol), though.

But what's with the pistols?? 8O 8O 8O 8O

I was 10x better with any random pistol I had than an assault rifle. I could get more damaging shots off from across a street, room, or open area with a pistol, and very quick reloads. I had this big shotgun and marksman rifle on my back, but all I did was run around taking out everybody with a 1911! lol

And yes, I know they added a bit of "aiming" time, even when snap-aiming from cover. You'll see the crosshair take that 1/4 second or so to "focus", so even if your aim doesn't change and it's dead-square on a guy's forehead, the cursor will stay white until it 'locks'. I adjusted to that pretty quickly, but it seemed so many guns were just scattered. Outside of pistols, I definitely had the best experience with the M16, though. The burst-fire is laser-accurate with not a lot of recoil. I might just find the best version of that I can use 100% of the time to start with.

I don't know that G36 purple I found from just wandering in an alleyway and opening a gun case was pretty bad ass. It didn't have the kick of some of the other guns and I was dropping bitches like flies :D

However the pistols seem deadly, of course I never tried them at longer ranges so idk.

Taking a control point solo seems almost impossible. I love the ability to call for backup or provide backup pretty much anywhere even in free roam. Maybe because it was the private beta but every person I got paired with was top notch in terms of working together. Seeing people in the base now is also cool.

The enemy AI seems better for the most part although the one who runs at you with a machete to her death is pretty silly. I was cuaght off guard last night when some enemy sent a little remote control car with a bomb on it at me and Terry.

So many nice little touches, especially to the landscape it's a pretty game for sure. This is going to be one long f***in month. All I want to do is play this game.

I am on board with most of the comments here. I really enjoyed the beta. Played it a good bit. The gunplay is superb. Love it. The game is gorgeous. Can’t wait.

It wasn't easy, but I had one badass AR that I'm sure helped. Also perfectly placed my turret to catch the majority coming in. Most of those strongholds are brutal. I can't remember which one this was, but the layout was a little more friendly. One thing I've learned to do is seek out the grenade launcher guy and the 50 cal stationary gunner first.

I was really wanting to play bad last night as well. Going to be a long month. At least Dirt Rally 2.0 comes out in 2 weeks.

Hell, yeah. DIRT Rally 2.0 will serve as methadone maintenance for me for a few weeks. :)

I'll definitely pick up DR 2.0 when it releases Oculus Support. So tough to run a sim without that now, for me.

Not like anybody cares about my unrequested status update, but there you have it!

I had a feeling that would be open beta days, I'll be in Arizona then. But I'll trade my tv, couch, and cold for the warm sunshine and swinging the clubs! 4 shorts weeks until the full game.

Preload the public beta now, mofos! Public beta open from 4 a.m. (ET) Friday through 4 a.m. (ET) Tuesday.

I doubt anything will be opened this weekend on my Xbox besides this beta and DIRT Rally 2.0. :)

I believe so. This public beta includes more levels and content.

Just checked on the PC and there was nothing new I needed to download. I clicked on D2 Open Beta and it showed up as already preloaded

Cool! I deleted the private beta from my Xbox since I didn't know about the Public Beta until a couple of weeks ago. I'm ruthless about removing games I don't play from my drive, reducing clutter.

Congrats. I still think I have 10 percent left to finish in the Security Wing. My status has been like that for months. Guess I should polish off that last bit before D2 drops!

D2 public beta tonight after band practice, mofos!

F*CKING AMAZING. Took The Division, which became my favorite game ever after it was overhauled by a huge patch two years ago, and made it even better.

March 15 can't come soon enough.
