PUBG user base exceeds 4 million on XB1. Damn, didn't the game just surpass 3 million users around Christmas? Talk about a phenomenon.

To celebrate the milestone, MS is giving 30,000 points for cosmetic upgrades to players:

Chicken dinner, indeed!

I had no idea this mode was in GTA5. Its similar to PUBG/Battle Royale. I’m gonna give it a whirl.

I played a round of this and it was ok. Not the tensioned filled game that PUBG is but its was fun. I hadn’t touched GTA in such a long time so I figured I’d give it a go.

Major update released on the Xbox this morning. Graphical enhancements, smoother gameplay, new lobby area based on the actual map, many bugs squashed. Briefly watched a live stream and it looks to be running so much smoother! Looks like it plays as an actual shooter now!

It is much smoother. Much. Makes shooting more accurate. Downside, for some reason there's now no on screen warning as to when the circle shrinks. Got caught out of the zone twice with no warning.

Despite the technical difficulties, I've been addicted to this game big time. Glad they are cleaning it up.

Good Lord, this game remains ridiculous fun. So much tension, so much strategy.

The improvements in the latest patch have eliminated most of the game-crippling bugs, too.

Look for me! I’ve been playing with Pete and a few other non DSP friends. Sometimes I’ll go an entire match, make it to the top 10 and never fire a shot...and have a ball. The tension and anxiety are great!

I achieved a solo personal best tonight -- finished #7 twice.

Getting closer to that oh-so-tasty chicken dinner! :)

Myself, Pete and our buddy Gary (who’s this Gary character) just finished 3rd in a squad match. We were in the final circle...6 guys other than us alive and we got ganked. I have come so close to the dinner several times.

Text “review” from one of my buddies: “I almost died four times in this last round! Never had a vehicle, took outside-circle damage twice, took fire from five dudes, used 3 med kits, 2 painkillers, 2 energy drinks. Started the game w/a fist fight and I’m pretty sure I effed up the guy who killed me... Pubg makes call of duty seem like  Peggle!“

This seems like a good time to reminisce about the time I scored a chicken dinner on my second play though...

Myself, Pete and a few buds missed the dinner like 4 times last night. 4 straight top 10 finishes. We finished 3rd twice, 4th once and 8th once. Love it. I need a damn Chicken Diner to seal my PUBG legacy!

This game is great but it would be so much better with some polish...a few more maps, better customization, better rewards.

Diablo and I have been playing just about every night. If you see us online, join our party chat. Even if we have a squad of 4, we would split up. It's almost easier to play effectively with 2 instead of 4.

In Battle Royale related news, tomorrow Fortnight is adding a 20 v 20 v 20 v 20 v 20 team mode. probably for a limited time like the 50 v 50.

That was well earned. The rest of the squad got wiped with about 20 players left and you brought it home. A squad win is always nice, but the best ones are when you are the last man standing.

PUBG is $17.99 at Newegg with coupon code EMCPSPY65. Nice deal for those who aren't on the train for this outstanding, fun game.
