Th differences in TGC2 were even more striking after a week of playing on the old X1......

I'm going to have to try it again on the base XBox One, just to get a better appreciation for it. I know I marveled last night once again at how much better Forza 7 looks (even on a 1080p HDTV), and even feels on the X. The handling is more responsive and the force feedback effects seem to be more nuanced... it's incredible!

Was really impressed with how UFC 3 looked and played on the One X. But more than that, the loading times were mere seconds.

Long overdue for tennis fans like yours truly on the Xbox One, PS4 generation. Looks like two tennis games are due for 2018. In addition to World Tour Tennis, Big Ant Studios will be releasing AO Tennis just in time for the Aussie Open in January 18. The not so good news is that the rest of the world will see it only around March 18. Still, I will look forward to getting a copy of the game down under.

I'm having a weird issue that just began popping up. I'm not sure if the culprit is my TV, the console, or my sound bar.

When I turn my Xbox on, it turns on my TV and sound bar, and then, using ARC, the sound is routed to the sound bar, which is also noted in a pop-up generated by my TV. The problem is, it's not. The sound is still coming from my TV, and my sound bar is silent.

The solution, it turns out, is simple, but annoying. I unplug and plug in the HDMI cable that is the input for the Xbox. This instantly sends the sound to the sound bar like it should.

Any idea how to get it to go back to just sending sound to the sound bar when it boots up?

XB1X for $350? Your mileage may vary.

Witcher 3 updated. You can chose 60fps or 30fps 4K HDR. I'll take option 2.

Anyone using a 4K UHD monitor for their Xbox One X, as opposed to a TV? If so, which one and do you feel the X is giving better graphics/performance than what you are getting on your PC?

vader29 wrote:For some reason the games don't look as good with HDR on with my KS8000 using the Xbox, picture gets darker and washed out, was very noticeable in Madden and Battlefront 2. Turned off HDR in the Xbox settings and with just 4K, the picture looks great. Using the insects demo, the HDR looked better but the games just aren't popping for me. Watching 4K HDR videos on the youtube app on a Roku box looks great, just don't understand why the games don't look better with HDR.
Well color me super stupid, I bought a new tv stand and installed it over the weekend and in doing so ended up using the HDMI cable from my Roku with the Xbox and now the HDR shows up, Madden looks incredible, the shade of red colors is mostly what I had been missing as now it is popping with great overall color even on cable tv playing through the Xbox, strange that the cable passed all of the 4k features in the Xbox settings screen but in reality wasn't really working as it should have. Unbelievable I didn't try swapping cables earlier.

There is a way to test your HDMI cable from the setting screen? I'm started to question if I need a better one for my 1X. Honestly I can't remember if I used the one they provided or just used the one that was plugged in.

How do you do this?

To check your TV's 4K and HDR capabilities, press the Xbox button to open the guide, choose System > Settings > Display & sound, then choose Advanced video settings > 4K TV details.

I tried to connect my X to my PC monitor which is a 2560x1440 @ 75 hz HP Omen. I tried with the HDMI and all I could get was 1080p. I tried using an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter and connected to the DP input and no screen at all.

Disappointed that it is 1080p or 4K, nothing in between.

Has anyone else tried this? Disappointing.

My reasoning for this is so I could always take my X to my office to play if the 65" TV was tied up. My office where my PC is also I have a Logitech Z5500 5.1 sounds system and would not lose much on the visuals.

I searched Google before posting this and it seems native 1440p support is coming.
