RIP Chuck Berry

Post by Inuyasha »

Hail, hail rock and roll
Deliver me from the days of old
Long live rock and roll
The beat of the drums, loud and bold
Rock, rock, rock and roll
The feelin' is there, body and soul.

Schools and government offices should be closed on Monday for a day of mourning befitting a cultural colossus.

Yep. I never understood why people called Elvis the King. The King of Rock and Roll ALWAYS was, is and will be Chuck Berry.

Chuck Berry was to Rock and Roll, what Miles Davis was to jazz. They both changed the sound and defined it for future generations.

Little Richard gets my vote, but they all belong on Mt. Rushmore.

Loved Chuck. I have 2-3 songs of his in my rotation. Love Maybelline. RIP.

Tell me this song couldnt hold up today...50+ years after its release. Genius.

RIP Chucky Berry, the pioneer of rock and roll. A great guitarist too, Johnny B Goode, Roll over Bethoven, and Maybelline among my favourites.
