That mode has some of the best use of music and controller rumble to tighten the tension ever used in a sports game...

I did the same thing, the Challenge is much more fun than I expected. Can't believe the top guy this week had 4 million points!

The official Operation Sports rosters with full minors will release tomorrow at 9 p.m. central time for those waiting on them. They'll be listed in the vault under PSN-Ridindwnkingsley.

Amazing work by those guys. I downloaded them last night and started my Cubs franchise. I am surprised the MLB guys don't give them an early version of the game so they can start their rosters early.

Diablo, that was a nice shot of your home run just before the 4:00 mark. Love those angles when you crush one.

Hey Guys.

Can anyone give me some feedback from a frame rate perspective for a standard PS4? Anything gameplay related? I can't stand FR issues. They drive me bonkers.

Thanks

THe only time I notice a frame rate issue at all are the brief and few instances when the game shows the hitter and pitcher split screen between pitches. I notice nothing in gameplay, and everything else seems totally good.

No frame rate issues at all on my Pro. Just the odd lag on online games here and there. Another patch just dropped, solid game.

In 4K mode it stutters pretty good, consistently.

In Enhanced Visuals it stutters only occasionally, but never affects gameplay.

In Fast Framerate it's butter smooth in 1080P.

Edit: and now I just read standard PS4, so don't know. But for Pro users, my explanation might help too. :)

Have not noticed anything in game, playing on standard PS4 and on a plasma TV. I see occasional issues on cut scenes but nothing that different than what you see in a lot of other games.

Better than the ball bouncing off your head for a homerun, ala Jose Canseco.

I've never seen that animation you posted. Would suck if I was controlling that team, but that was cool. I'm still seeing new animations from time to time.

I named the youtube video Jose Kemp, lol. So yeah, I know what you mean. And it was my team, and it sucked. Basically no way it ever happens again. Perfect location at Sun Trust w/ the short wall.

LOL, DB, that sucks but is also awesome it's in the game.

I had the real Canseco HR happen to me in MLB 10 with Alfonso Soriano

Kind of along the same lines, I saw a cool animation the other day while playing against the Marlins. I hit one to deep right and Stanton and the ball collided at the same time with the wall. He fumbled it and the ball bounced away. Never had seen that before. I'm still seeing new animations all these games later.

Fellas.

Can anyone give any advice on the bunting? Seems as if all of my bunts are way too hard and resemble soft ground balls more than bunts. I play mostly offline.

Thanks.

It is difficult this year -- the "rocket bunts" are there. I think it probably depends on the hitting interface. I play Zone so I can control where the bat is aimed, and I tend to leave it high on bunt drag bunt attempts. That tends to make the bunt more likely to drop softly.

For sacrifices, I keep it centered as the double play on bunts is still rare for me unless I have a real turtle on first.
