Mini Nintendo NES coming to stores in November

Post by sportdan30 »

Yep, I'll be picking one of these up for $60!

EDIT: Looks like the 30 games included are the only games that can be played. Cannot add new games.

I'm way to much of a graphics whore. So not interested and it'll be interesting to see how those older games look stretched out on large HDTV's.

1. Nintendo killed this...
2. I've never seen one in a store EVER.
3. Secondary market prices jump from crazy high to ABSURDITY LEVEL HIGH.
4. I like lists.
5. I bet they do a SNES Classic.

Was interested in getting one but I never saw one in any stores either and had no plans to purchase it overpriced from ebay or somewhere else.

Stoked that my connect w Nintendo was able to just score me one. Haha. Should be here Tuesday. Thankfully. Never asked her for the favor until I found out it was DC'd. Had to call that favor in however.

Nice. I was fortunate to find one around the release date, but it wasn't easy. I think I've played it a total of 6 times. If anything, it's a cool nostalgia piece and fun to screw around with every now and then.

I could see Nintendo re-releasing these come holiday season. Then again, I think they're putting more and focus on the Switch, and deservedly so.

Interestingly, I'm contemplating just flipping it on eBay and buying a switch w/ the proceeds. :) Since they are going for 275ish. Unreal. I can play the nostalgia games on my Nvidia Shield TV like I've been doing, lol.

Not sure why anyone would care after what they couldn't ensure availability for people who wanted the mini-NES.

As my buddy said to me: It's a bit like "Hey, Radiohead's coming to your city!" Yeah that's fine for the people who will actually get to go. Most get left out.

Re-released today, picked one up at Walmart, probably play it once and shelve it like I did with the Super Nintendo Classic. :P

Best Buy was selling them on their website this morning for $60. Ipicked up a SNES Classic several months ago and that’s as far back retro wise I care to go. Supposedly, Nintendo is planning to release the N64 Classic sometime in the future. Now that I would interested in.

Thanks for the thread bump, vader. My girlfriend has really wanted one and I was waiting on the re-release. I was able to run to Target this morning and score one.

Finally got one as well. Kids and wife have been playing the original Super Mario non-stop. Still fun as f***.
