That's probably reason enough for most people, keep taking those jobs as long as clubs are paying you millions. Worst case, they can you after a season or two. You walk away will millions each time.

There has to be a limit to the number of times a club will hire a manager who's been let go from other clubs. So it seems these managers are just maximizing their revenues window, until they fall out of rotation.
It's no different than any other professional sport in North America. Look at all the head coaching/manager retreads in baseball, football, basketball and hockey. The coaching fraternity is a network of back-slapping, glad-handing good old boys, with only a select few penetrating that daisy chain mind-f*ck every year, such as Chip Kelly in the NFL and Billy Donovan, Fred Hoiberg and Brad Stevens in the NBA.

True, but there's so much money in the EPL now, since they have a TV contract that rivals the NFL's TV deal, you figure a lot of clubs that doesn't realistically have a chance to win the league or even finish in the top 4 will draw a lot of interest from both players and managers alike.

I just saw some of the highlights Jimmy and even though Barry denies it, it looked like a toothless bite to me. But more disturbing is that no one seems to talk about the spit at the ref after he was shown the red.

i just think he couldnt latch on to his neck it was too big even for his mouth or it could have been really bad for him and Barry LOL.
I didnt see the spit either but the aggressive way he got in the refs face will costa him another game i think.
Either way it was awesome

This is why I'm stunned he took the gig. He can't get along with any owner, much less a buffoon of Ashely's magnitude.

Some exquisite goals seen between Arsenal-Barcelona, specially the one by Jaws. The English squad had enough chances in the first 45 minutes to surprise.

Juventus-Bayern going into ET now. With key players out, Juve had enough chances to put this one away yet they allow a last minute goal to make it 4-4 in aggregate. Lov the skill set that Cuadrado brings for them.

They'll be kicking themselves hard should they not advance today.

Do or die game for Team USA against Guatemala.

Also said to be do or die for Klinsmann's tenure.

If they let him go, then what?

New manager isn't going to bring in a sudden infusion of talent.

8O

I do not believe what I just saw. What a freaking match! James Milner somehow can't place a single corner past the first defender, is less mobile than a vending machine in midfield yet ends the game with 943 assists. What a match!!

Great play! Awesome strike!

Lallana.

Liverpool are on fire as of late.

EDIT: I may have jinxed it.

I take responsibility in full for that draw.

Ballsy comeback by The Toon. But NUFC needed three points, not one.

I'm still not feeling very good about the final three games -- Crystal Palace (must beat that smug f*ck Pardew), Aston Villa (three points or bust) and Spurs on final day (please, Pocch, play the reserves!).
