This is the exclusive that could get me to buy PS4. Unless Tomb Raider scratches that itch and I hold out a little longer.

I know this is early gameplay video, but Far Cry 4 looks a little nicer to me.

I will finally own a PS4 when my beloved Uncharted comes out.

While the game certainly looks beautiful and oozes that classic Indiana...er, i mean Uncharted charm it doesn't have me excited. Seems like more of the same. Easy platforming broken up by gun fights with armies of men trying to get to some kind of ancient treasure that will almost certainly uncover some kind of super natural enemy that you must fight off to reach the end of the game.

I barely got into Uncharted 3 before quitting out of boredom. I don't see anything other than really pretty graphics that make this one stand out from all of the rest. The original Uncharted is what finally got me to buy a PS3. I don't see that happening for this one but we'll have to see what the final product looks like.

I liked what I saw. First, the game looks gorgeous. But they added some cool touches to the combat, like Drake going for a ledge grab, but the guy grabbing Drake's leg on the way down. Sure, it looks like it's more mowing through tons of bad guys, but I find those battles are usually a lot of fun.

I like open world games very much, but I also love a more focused game that really tells a story, has memorable characters, and tries to provide a tight 15 hours of entertainment instead of packing 15 hours of entertainment into 55 hours of wandering around collecting ingredients for potions and smithing. Naughty Dog are the best in the business at doing that.

Agreed - I wouldn't want every game I own to be like Uncharted, and I don't really geek out about the series when I'm not playing it. However, for those 15 hours I'm definitely having one hell of a time.

I'm a tad concerned about this one due to the changes in the dev writing team. One of my favorite series but it is getting a little long in the tooth.

That was amazing, however prior to that didn't looked all that much different in terms of visuals.

Overly compressed Youtube videos aren't exactly a great indicator. The details are all there, it's the textures that are missing when you get Youtubes mitts on it. Or they are showing the XB1 version. :)

This is a game I want but only after it drops in price to around $20 or less. I already have the games on the PS3.

I never played Uncharted 3, but I will also probably wait until it drops in price. I really have no desire to replay Uncharted 1 and 2, as amazing as they were.

Tomb Raider is really scratching that adventure game itch rather nicely. Can't wait until November.

Yeah I saw this last night. At least it's only 2 weeks. I have plenty of other games to play/complete before its release...including MLB 16 The Show, Rise of the Tomb Raider (like 65% done), The Division (comes out in a few days), and Assassins Creed Syndicate which I picked up with a 20% off code the other day. I plan on giving ACS a go this weekend.

Played it for an hour last night and another 45 minutes this morning before work---it's gorgeous. And I read in a few reviews how cool the analog mechanic was for scaling walls and moving Drake's hand in a 1:1 ratio...but it's so much cooler to experience. Such a tiny little touch, but maneuvering his hand to that exact hand hold is awesome. The melee fighting is still clunky, but it's an absolutely stunning PS4 game, and the controls (especially climbing around on towers and crap) are rock solid, so far.

They also applied what they learned in The Last of Us as far as character exploration and how to convey subtle emotions in a scene. The wife doesn't watch many games, but she watched TLOU from start to finish. She already said this feels like mixing TLOU with the movie National Treasure, which is one of her favorites.

Big hit, so far.

I played it for about an hour last night and it's gorgeous. Barely scratched the surface but I'll hit it again tonight :). I did the multiplayer tutorial and that looks fun as hell. Pumped that it's finally out.

TC...what analog controls are you talking about?

Next time you're climbing a wall and you can see handholds or ledges---just move the L stick slowly in any direction. You'll see Drake's hand move to match. It gives you very precise control over which handhold you're going to grab onto. When you're in some of those sections with multiple little holds to grab, it's really cool to be able to reach for the exact one I want, especially if some are dead ends, which I've run into already.
