It's Hockey Night- Season 14-15

Post by 10spro »

Canucks start their season on Wednesday. Hopefully with the new season and some changes, they may sneak into the playoffs something not to hard to do if you were in the East. But with powerhouses like CHI, ANA, LA, and ST LOUIS, there's no doubt that in my mind that Lord Stanley will return to the Westen conference.

Gone are Tortorella (what a disaster that was), and Ryan Kesler and with a new coach hopefully they can return to the puck possession style that they were used to playing before Torts arrived.

I can only hope, go 'Nucks!

I was watching that video, watching Sutter give one word answers and look around the room, and for a second there I felt like I was watching Bubbles say "you can go f*ck yourself" to someone in Trailer Park Boys.

Really looking forward to the Canucks and Flames game tonight. Can't wait to get a good look at Johnny Hockey....kids going to be a stud.
Blues and Rangers tomorrow night....get to see if Lehtera is the real deal. Blues depth is even better this year....only question is will the goal tending hold up.

Pretty entertaining home opener for the 'Nucks in a comeback SO win against the Oils. Lots of offense including two unlikely combatants in Hamhuis and Nugent-Hopkins exchanging fist o cuffs. The twins were dancing during OT win their touch and go and those five minutes were worthy of any highlights where they were dominant but just missed the scoring.

What's more important for me so far is that the team is playing the style of game that they were used to instead of the dump and chase days of Tortorella. Eight goals in two games when they were struggling to score a goal per game las year. So far so good, but despite the wins and losses, it's this brand of hockey that's going to get them winning again.

And now thanks to their wonderful schedule they won't be able to carry their momentum until next Friday. That's an eternity!

Man hope Pascual Dupuis is ok after being crosschecked first (where's the call ref) and then hit in the head with a slapper.

Have to give credit to the league for suspending swiftly Voynov indefinitely. You don't want another Ray Lewis case in their face and the quick action is to be commended.

Another excruciating injury for the Bolts with Victor Hedman and a fractured finger. 4 to 6 weeks and was off to a great start. Not as bad as the Stammer injury but nonetheless. On a unrelated note the Bolts cannot win in Edmonton. 7 years since they won there.

I was watching the game back and forth along the WS and once I knew that Bumgarner was going to be untouchable I switched back full time to the Habs game. I thought the Wings goal was a bit unfortunate but MON had some good breaks too. The kid Galchenyuk is looking good so far this season.

Wished I could say the same thing about the Canucks tonight after their embarrassing performance in DAL.
