Watching Messi and Barcelona play is something else.

Aside from the Messi hat trick and assist I saw this beauty from the biter.

Chelsea* fans covering themselves in glory again.

Now where did I leave my 'Support Suarez' T-shirt?

;)

XXXIV - great goal by bitey but he's scored way better for us last year. Every time he defers a free kick to Messi I feel like Rodgers should text him 'see, you're second fiddle'. :)

Despite good possession in general ManU couldn't break the wall that Swansea set up for them. They defended very well, there was no panic and a bomb by Shelvey deflected by Gomis did the damage for the Reds. Not sure why Falcao was still on the bench with the game on the line and still trailing.

There not even home and they are toying with City so far. 2-0 is generous, Messi creating his space, Suarez providing the finishes.

Coutinho was brilliant today, absolutely brilliant. It almost gets rid of the horrible taste from Thursday...Almost.

That game Thursday was an aberration. Depleted squad playing a crazily physical team on a pitch made of gravel. That barely looked like a football match.

Top four finish looking likely to me.

Love that Rodgers put Sturridge in at the end of the game. Now thats positive football.

The way they have progressed, Im thinking taking the league next year with a healthy version of him. 8)

Henderson's goal was ridiculous. The first touch, then the second touch to create space and finally a laser of a finish. And then Coutinho topped it.

I'm just glad that Coutinho has picked up the slack until my boy Skrtel (aka the Slovak Puskás) gets his scoring touch back. :)

No English teams left in the CL final eight after Barca's lesson to City tonight. Boy, Messi was a maestro tonight, even though he didn't score, he showed some incredible dribbling skills and lethal passing that left spying Pepe Guardiola in awe. I think Bayern still looks rock solid towards the finals with Real or Barca making a strong push.

The way Tevez is tearing up for Juventus this season, Pirlo, if Pogba can stay healthy, I wouldn't count them out either.

I think people draw too many conclusions about the quality of the leagues from the knockout competitions. It's a crazy small sample size and year-to-year the leagues have very different levels of success. I understand the impulse, but I don't think it's a very good metric.

Juventus got the best draw among all the other teams and IMO they are a force to reckon with. Barca vs PSG part deux should be close. Bayern should advance against Porto, and watch out Real. They got a tough match against their neighbors in Atletico who seem to know exactly how to beat them too.
