Elder Scrolls Online

Post by Danimal »

Just wondering if anyone else is playing? I'd like to group up since you get more experience when in a group. I have a Dark Elf called Gardewin if anyone is playing please send me a friends request.

Yup, been playing since 3:30AM my time when the servers went live.

But can't group unless you play the same faction. I've got a Nord that's level 11 or 12 on the Ebonheart Pact, but nothing else there.

Still really enjoying this game, since I switched alliances thanks to Terry's input the quest line is better. Hanging out in Morrow wind as a Dark Elf was not real pretty to look at.

So whats the final verdict?

Is this worth it?

Does it have a fee like WoW?

It has a fee and I'm still playing and paying.

Terry has gotten farther than I have or ever will, he would be a better judge

So if you own the PC version you can now play for free as they relaunched this things with a guild Wars price model for the upcoming console launch. Meaning you pay $60 for the game and you can play with no subscription fee. There are things you can buy in game but as a previous subscriber I was gifted a few things.

I'm really not sure on the whole breakdown of what you pay for / what you get but I liked this game but not enough to pay monthly. With no subscription fee and the changes they made I'll be back to playing

I'm sorry Terry, I didn't see it. I had to reconfig my toon and then remember how to play. I contemplated just starting a new guy to get familiar with the game again as some messages popped up that I blew through and shouldn't have. I still might go that route.

It was free pet bonaza last night though, people just running everywhere with pets was a little annoying. I'll look for you next time I'm on which will probably be tomorrow.

Terry it has been a while since I played can you help me with some basic stuff that I remember having a hard time figuring out 1st go around and can't recall how to do it?

How do I hotkey the potion I want? Right now I have a mana potion there but I want a health. I tried everything I could think of last night.

How do I fill a soul gem?

Do add-ons still work?

Also i don't recall this form when I played before but these giant chains opening just seem to drop randomly from the sky and everyone in the area fights off the monster coming through. Are these random events? Do you get a reward for this?

If you go into your inventory, one tab is for inventory, the next is for shortcuts. You go to the other tab and then it shows you the shortcut wheel where you can map stuff.

To fill a soul gem, you have to slot the Soul Magic ability Soul Trap. Then kill a monster with it cast on them.

I don't know about add ons. Haven't tried.

The chains are random world events, and sort of the entire point of the whole game. The storyline picks up on it the further you go. You get an xp reward, I can't remember if you get any physical loot rewards.

Thanks, I was really impressed with the updates and the paywall so to speak is really a non-factor. I think if people like Skyrim this is a good purchase now that there is no sub fee.

All my toons are level 8 so likely to low to roll with you but if you want to roll some new ones up sometime let me know.

I started a new guy when the update hit, he's only 9 now. And I never went THAT far before. I think I'm only 24 or something with my Templar. The combat lag and weird timing made it tough to plow on with.

I'm really enjoying what I've played of the new update, though, too.

I've probably played this 2 hours a night since it went no subscription. I'm really enjoying it, still think they should of just made a co-op ES game instead of this but with the exception of a sometimes less than clear path for the quests it's very good.

Yeah it's much improved over the first time I played it. I was gone all weekend at the NASCAR race in Fontana, and been dabbling in other games at the same time, but each time I come back to it, I have fun.

So on a whim as a birthday gift to myself I purchased the latest ESO expansion called Summerset. I probably haven't played this game in 2 years, I was amazed at how much better it is and how much content is in it. Besides this stand alone expansion and the Morrowind one (I got both with this purchase) there are a ton of other story and dungeon DLC's available.

It seem clear that there won't be a new Elder Scrolls game any time soon if ever. ESO is just like playing the single player game except with other people running around. I really enjoyed what I played last night, its the first time in forever where I looked up and it was 2am.

If you miss the Elder Scrolls you can get all in on this game for the price of an XB1 title.
