Re: SEGA Dreamcast 2 a possibility.....
I just can't see it happening again. It takes MEGA bucks to putout a console these days and it also requires stroking the software companies and getting them on board. And the biggest fish of them all would probably skip which is EA. As far as Sega games, there really aren't that many quality games like during the original Sega Dreamcast. Sega is basically living off it's past and it's games are watered down these days. They even managed to ruin the Sonic franchise.
Hell if Nintendo is having a hard time, I seriously doubt Sega can pull it off.

Still have my original Dreamcast and was actually just looking at it yesterday while doing some cleaning.

I would love this. But I also have a better chance of banging Hannah Davis by the end of this week than Sega does of ever producing and releasing a Dreamcast 2.
PS: I just read the story. As soon as I saw the word "crowdfunded" in the first few paragraphs, I said out loud, "Good f*cking luck." This is a pipe dream. DOA.

I don't get it. Is Sega not even involved? Why do we care?DivotMaker wrote:My thoughts exactly when I saw "crowd funded"....pk500 wrote:I would love this. But I also have a better chance of banging Hannah Davis by the end of this week than Sega does of ever producing and releasing a Dreamcast 2.

A little off topic but I just read an article that someone is remaking the Collecovision. It is going to take cartridges like the original and still have that 8bit graphics. Was my favortie system way back when but I wouldn't buy it now just like I wouldn't buy a Dreamcast again.

Not quite Dreamcast 2, but while watching some videos on youtube, there was one the popped up for a fantastic Dreamcast emulator. The Redream emulator has about 80% of games running, and most and full speed. https://redream.io/compatibility/. Grabbed some ROMs and played some of my old DC library. Been a great trip down memory lane today.
