Yup...like Dan, I'm renting the 360 version and it'll be one of the games I pick up on release day w/ the PS4. For all intents and purposes, it appears to just be a roster update on the current gen, which is to be expected so close to the next gen launch, so that makes the most sense.

I've been reading about quite a few gameplay improvements as well as some slightly different controls.

I am also waiting for next gen version (Xbox One).

There is no buy now, upgrade later? I was looking for a deal.

Really like what I've seen so far in my limited play time. Hopefully everything transitions nice and smoothly over to next gen. Amped up graphics will really show off this game to the extreme.

I thought there was some upgrade deal going on, but I'm going to suffer and wait so I'll be uber excited when I play it on the next gen console.

Holy crap. This is why I'm barely playing my rental of the 360 version...don't want to ruin it when the PS4 comes out. Whoa.

That is just freakin' unreal. Can't wait! Live better bring it with their gameplay video tomorrow, or it's game, set, and match.

What are the odds is worth a sh*t compared to 2k? The only thing that would sway me is "newness" as 2K has dominated for so many years (last decent competitor was Live 2004) I'm kind of burnt out on the brand, but I still realize it's the best game out there so you just have to soldier on. Same with MLB The Show. Next gen really needs to kick both games up a notch and that video is a DAMN good start.

EA's first clip of Live is horrendous compared to that 2K clip.

I totally agree. I haven't looked at anything from the 360 version for the same reasons. I just want to sit there in awe at the PS4 version and take it all in :D One of my favorite things about new console launches is that first experience with a game and the new graphics. It only happens once. I remember my jaw dropping at NFL 2K on the DC when I brought it home from the midnight launch (yes, I was one of those dorks). Same thing with NBA 2K and COD when the 360 launched. I watched the damn unis move for about 10 minutes :) Cant wait for 11/15/13!

Yikes...Live 14 looks TERRIBLE in comparison. That looks like 360 footage from 2010.

There's nothing in that trailer that looks remotely next gen to me. In fact, I'm in agreeance that it looks very much like a early 360 or PS3 title. Can you imagine if EA had an exclusive license for the NBA as well???

I think it is clear that 2K looks infinitely better than Live. It's also probable that 2K's gameplay will be well beyond Live's. But I could care less about which game looks better, and Live looks fine. The question is whether Live will have engaging gameplay that makes it more fun to play.

I'm assuming Live 14 will be a bug filled mess, though.

I'm not sure if "EA Sports: Ignite" is a tagline or what they should do to their attempts to make an NBA game.

Basically, the trailer for Live 14 looked fine. If its game play is fun, it really doesn't matter how its visuals compare. So all the attempts to use that video to call it a crap game misses the point of what actually makes games good.

That said, I'd still put money down that Live 14 will suck.

Gotta admit...holy crap that looks fantastic. I'm not quite sure what the "reviewer" was complaining about, saying it's the same old 2k. The player interactions (really one of the only complaints in the current gen) are vastly improved. They do mention the fact that the players actually look like they are running instead of gliding, which is good also, but pair that with the ridiculous graphical bump and it's gonna be a fantastic release day game.
