DSP ESPN NFL Championship Game- Miami 27 Oakland 13

Post by pacuca »

wco pulled a huge upset by beating TCrouch´s Raiders in the DSP ESPN NFL Championship Game. TCrouch had beaten wco´s Dolphins earlier in the season 21-7. He steamrolled the competition to a 7-0 regular season record.

wco finished the regular season at 6-1. Followed by RobVarak at 4-3, Jason at 2-5, and both Cincy and pacuca finished at 1-6.

Great fun was had by all. We are currently setting up an 8 team league with 4 spots filled, so if you´d like to play in a great league with a great bunch of guys let me know. Thanks.

Was this Terry´s first loss ever? Wasn´t he like 96-0 in ESPN NFL ranked games?
WOW! Nice job, WCO! That is a win for the virtual pigskin ages.

Yep, was my first loss in PS2 or XBox ESPN NFL.

It wasn´t 96-0 tho, it was only 91-0. I couldn´t have asked for a better loss, though. Nothing to blame but poor decisions and great defense.
My hat´s off to wco.

HolyShit! What an upset! Wish I could see that game in action.

Looking forward to Season 2.

Wow! Just checked the stats. When was the last time you saw a team win with a QB going 1-5 for 21 yds?

Yeah everything just worked out my way, particularly a couple of key turnovers to open the second half that turned a one-score game (14-6) into a 24-6 game halfway through the third.

And I´m surprised about the passing stats because I thought I dropped back for more than 5 passes. But Fiedler was getting pressured and launched some ducks.

Ricky was big and had 142 yards before half time but on two long runs where the blocking set up real well.

You know, a stat like that really lets you know how badly I played, and how out of my game you had me. I held a quarterback to 1 for 5 in the game (the first completion being the first play of the game), but never realized it.

The entire game, I was still fearful of getting beaten on a cover-2-killing fade route or something, so I continually tried to pressure Fiedler and defend the pass...*sigh*.

The turnovers killed me, but that´s football. I´ve had a ton of games where all the breaks went my way, it was only a matter of time until I saw how the "other half" lives

[ This message was edited by: TCrouch on 11-12-2003 09:43 ]
