I'll send you my last one, Feanor. It won't be for about an hour, though...they're at home in the box.

I can run it! Now I just need the wife and kids to go to bed so I can play more than 10 minutes.

I really can't think of a bigger single player launch f*** up ever in the history of gaming. Blizzard might be about to learn a hard lesson.

Blizzard doesn't think of it as a single player game, which is the difference. The director said that word for word in a recent interview, so it's not shocking.

Everytime I sit down to play this f*cking piece of sh*t of a game, the damn servers are down. Almost the entire time I'm at work all is well and people are playing their asses off and as soon as I get home, boom. Servers jacked. Thanks a lot assholes! Getting so ticked.

Yeah, yesterday was a cluster, that's for sure. I still managed to get through 20 levels and about the first act and a half, though

Yeah I finally got on around 11:30pm and was good until about 1am when I went to bed.

I've never played a game where you control your guy with a mouse instead of the WASD keys...it's taking a sh*t ton of time to get used to. I constantly am bringing up menus and stuff instead of running or attacking. I think I'm up to a level 8, but clearly I'm having a tough time re-training myself to move my guy.

Gets easier as you go, but if you haven't played the click-fest ARPG's much...yeah, going to take some adjusting. I've had my thumb button on my mouse set up to be the Shift key for years, so for me it's pretty much "click where I want to go, and when I want to start attacking hold the thumb button".

Since shift is "attack in place" in these games, just clicking/releasing the thumb button allows me to move around and attack very quickly without trying to target guys specifically (since the attack in place will attack no matter what--whether you have a monster targeted or not, you just swing at air. If stuff gets in your way, they get hit. Very efficient).

Ah that's a good point. Holding shift and then using the numbers 1-4 for other spells/traps is very confusing for this rookie. Mapping shift to thumb is a great idea. Will do that tonight. Thanks for the tip!

What's your Battle.net ID, asshat? The loot is better the more people you have in the game, so it's always better to play with friends :)

Same as my ID here...unless you need that little number at the end....then its: Dbdynsty25#1142

Probably won't be on until after like 10pm PST...family in town, so little busy now which makes Monday and yesterday doubly frustrating with their servers.

Yeah, life happens. Just helps to have people on your friends list, since the loot drops get much better the more people you have in the game. If you get a 4 player party and down a boss monster, you frequently end up with 2 or 3 pieces of yellow (rare) gear...or better.

Just sent a bunch of friend requests. Learning as I go, first time with this franchise. Also, is it a prerequisite to have a headset if playing with others? If so, I have some shopping to do...

No denial or confirmation so far at this point. That's too bad, Teal. It's a killer game (in a co-op session right now with EZ and Leadfoot) and it's about as basic as it gets, gameplay-wise. Click Click Loot. But the dangling carrot that is better gear dropping every few minutes just keeps you plugging away with a grin on your face.

...as long as the servers are up.

Oh, I know. I played Diablo on either the xbox or the playstation years ago, and I like hack and slash loot droppers. But I just don't do the PC game thing. Never have. Don't really want to.
