This is still in the rumor stages, but it's pretty close to what I was thinking they should have done a year ago. Instead of leveraging XBLA, though, it seems to be aimed at games from Windows Store.

If it launches, I hope it also ships with a Kinect microphone. There is no need for a camera on that product, but Kinect's voice command, along with Cortana, would beat both Apple and Roku in terms of having a next gen feature. They should then double down and release the mike for the XB1, too.

Good points. I could live without the Kinect camera but LOVE the microphone functionality.

Once I was able to get all my tables to the XB1 I play it several times a week.

So news or tease no one knows but EA's NCAA football facebook page after 17 months of no activity has a 10 second video if a heart monitor with a small blip as if to suggest life.

Whether this means a new game or backwards compatibility or is juts a plain dick move no one know.

EDIT: Never mind apparently this was a simple misunderstanding EA was counting down to the title game tonight. WTG EA!!

I don't know, man. One little, faint heart beat? That was done on purpose, IMHO. Plus, didn't the O'Bannon settlement just happen? I'm going on the record as saying we'll see NCAA Football 17 in July. (Fingers crossed)

I don't disagree they knew what they were doing but they released several messages saying that was not their intent, there is no new game. Perhaps they were using ti to gauge interest or prove a point to the NCAA since the meetings are going on this week.

Plants vs Zombies 2 beta can be downloaded now and be played until the weekend. A shooter on a lighter side with charisma and cool characters. Really enjoyed the first game.

FYI, Just saw that the XB1 Elite controller is back in stock at Amazon...if anyone has been waiting to get one. I know it's some decent coin but it is a phenomenal piece of hardware.

I've started seeing Elite controllers on store shelves. I was someone who was skeptical when they announced it at $150, but a friend of mine got one, and after testing it out, I was sold. I've only had it a little over a week, still getting used to the paddles, but the d-pad and bumpers alone are so much better. Yeah, it's pricey but it is a well built and comfortable controller, so I don't mind splurging a little with some Christmas cash I received.

that list is less than impressive, unfortunately. I am one of the few people who actually enjoy and use backward compatibility. I would love to see some of the games people are voting for actually make it on the list. What's the point of asking people which games they want if they're not going to show up.

Let's see some Red Dead Redemption, BLOPS 1&2 (1 is confirmed, but when??), all of the MW's, Fallout Vegas, etc

I'm with you on BC. Rainbow Six: Vegas, NBA Jam, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and DIRT Showdown all get regular playing time through BC on our Xbox One.

The point is too push the publisher to agree which is not always easy. Plus a lot of people sunk a lot of money into Arcade games so making these BC is not the worst idea. I would love for some of the game you mentioned but I can't see some of those companies saying ok.

This may be a dumb question. My daughter has just gotten into playing my sports games on the PS4. If I create a separate profile for her and she plays a game such as Madden. Will all of the patches/tuner updates still apply or would I have to re-download them for her since it is a separate profile?
