I am now even more hyped for this game, if that's even possible.

I had a blast online with GTA IV, whether it was structured (from the co-op heists to death racing in city buses downtown) or unstructured (from creating mayhem and holding out in a building against cop assaults to free falling off the tallest skyscraper in Liberty City)

The Microsoft Store is still offering 1600 MS points free with pre-order.

If I hadn't already put my next gen plans on hold, seeing that MP video would've had me at Amazon cancelling my preorder...wow! Crap, just between that and Splinter Cell Blacklist, I'm just fine with my current console. Giddy up!

Hopefully you can restrict some online games to friends only, to avoid getting constantly ripped off by randoms.

I imagine it'd have the RDR online model, where you can jump into an open world, or a private one.

It's pretty pointless for me to buy any game for about a month after GTA V is released. This game will monopolize my 360.

Curious how you set up co-op heists and death bus racing, sounds like fun!

There were 2 co-op missions included in GTA IV. The one I remember invloved killing, kidnapping or robbing a VIP (or maybe it was an armored car?) at the airport and having to get him or it across the city.

GTA IV also had all sorts of online racing options where you could choose vehicle types, including boats and helos, as well as whether the races were weapons included or weapons free. The Lost and the Damned DLC added motorcycle racing which can be played "Road Rash" style (with baseball bats).

Less than two week to go!

Ditto. I know I'll also be picking up FIFA 14 which comes out a week later, but other than that, GTA will get the most play.

From a polygon.com - "Grand Theft Auto Online will be available on Oct. 1, a couple of weeks after Grand Theft Auto 5 comes out"

http://www.polygon.com/2013/8/15/462410 ... al-trailer

Guess we will be playing the SP for a few weeks...getting to know all the ins and outs of the city.

Just pre-ordered for release day pickup at my local Best Buy, as Rewards Club members -- the basic club, to which I belong -- get $10 in BB certificates with a pre-order. I cannot f*cking wait.

I passed on the Microsoft deal because I never use Microsoft points, and I missed the free overnight shipping code before it was too late. Plus Microsoft was sluggish with shipping the only time I ordered from its store, and I'm willing to pay a premium to guarantee this game is in my grubby hands on release day.

1 week away!

Saw this on NeoGaf, it's a map comparing the size of GTA V's world to GTA IV's.

Incredible.
