For those that where able to snag a Touchpad for cheap here's the thread to discuss it.

I've had mine since Sunday and I've enjoyed it for what it is.

Great for surfing, Youtube, Hulu.

The email and Facebook apps are pretty good and are integrated very nicely inside the OS.

I'm looking for accessories to protect it since it's a finger print magnet.

Any questions you have let me know.

I don't even know why I ordered one. I guess I just caught up in all the hype.

Keeping fingers crossed that Android will eventually run on it for the apps.

Check the Bay for a case. I found a leather case/stand for my Dell Streak (new) for $5
which was $40 at Office Depot.

Well I'm not holding much hope of getting one, but people are buying the Touchstone, which is a fancy recharger, for $40 someodd dollars instead of $80.

Already got the case at that price @ office depot.

The battery life in the TP ain't great, so I may end up buying the Touchstone eventually.

Like Rob, and as expected and just like most people on Slickdeals...we all just had our amazon orders cancelled. Guess I'm not getting one. Not like I'd use it over my 10.1 anyway, but it would have been nice for the wife. Oh well...she didn't know she was "possibly" getting one anyway, so no harm done. Maybe I'll grab one on eBay in a week or two when the hype and the price inevitably goes down.

I'll probably end up getting another true Android tablet anyway for her. The hardware of the TP might run Android, but can it possibly run it as well as something that was designed for it (no GPS, really)? Guess that will be answered soon.

Weird that I still have not had my Amazon orders cancelled but I checked my bank statement this morning and noticed both Pending Charges were removed and released so it was not a good sign. I have yet to receive a cancellation notice from anyone from Amazon or the vendor.

If by some miracle I get both units i'll let you guys have first dibs on them, not dealing with ebay.

Sometimes pending charges are removed and then they show back up on your bank/credit card a day or two later depending on the vendor. There is still hope.

My second onSale purchase was officially cancelled but the first one I put has not been removed. If it goes thru you guys can buy it if you want. I think i'm getting two from HP not sure yet if it's 1 or 2. I'll have to call them. The second Tablet is for a friend on the West Coast who wants it.

No biggie but then I just got a confirmation email with a link to check the status and it doesn't say anything about being cancelled and says it is estimated to ship on the 28th. WTF?

same EXACT thing happened to me Scoop. Maybe they reinstated our orders?

Bunch of folks on Slickdeals got confirmations after cancellations. If you can't log back into HP and see your order, it's still cancelled.

My order still shows up on hp.com on the order status page. I did get a confirmation after the cancel notice.
There are no ccard charges showing on my bank stmnt.

p.s. bunch of folks on slickdeals are saying there are Best Buys with limited stock this morning.

Called my BB at 10 and they said they just got the final shipment in and I ran over there like a maniac and when I got there there was only about 15 people online and I snagged one!
