At least it's helpful spam...LOL. And the arrows don't really work unless your post is directly under it. In this case it would be:

Question, i have 2 options for internet explorer , normal and 64 bit but every time i click on 64 bit (usually by accident) it wants me to download flash player again and quick time again .

Is 64 bit quicker or anything ? doesnt seem to be i dont wanna download all that stuff again i have it all through the normal version.

So whats the advantages of 64 bit explorer?
Thanks.

With the help of a gift card, I bought the upgrade today and it was a piece of cake going from XP to W7 - nice that it also saved all my data via a folder called windows.old.

So far, W7 flies... liking it thus far!

got a nice backdoor trojan on my computer on NYD, so I decided to make the plunge. Really like the flow from one window to the next.

I like giving those much more than receiving. That's for damn sure.

I'm really tempted to buy a Technet license. Microsoft is offering a 28% discount, brings the license down to $251 plus tax. Would be worth if I knew Office 2010 was being released this year.

Is your vulnerability 6 inches wide now? If yes, then it must have been me.

Without really wanting to create a new thread...My wife got a new laptop and she is needing ms office 2007 (I know 2010 is suppose to release in June, but can't wait). Anyone know of a place to buy cheap professional or professional plus versions? Using google I found the professional version available at royaldiscount for $119. My sister works for the school system and recently bought prof plus for about 80 bucks so may try to go that route as well. Any ideas??

This doesn't really answer your question, but you could try OpenOffice for free and see if it suits her needs. My understanding is that unless you are a real excel power user, it does very well.

Thanks for the reply Naples but OpenOffice will not suffice.

You're not gonna beat 2007 Pro for 80 bucks via education discount. Seriously. Just go that route.

Yeah..I figured the school route was the cheapest. Just didn't want to wait for all the red tape stuff to clear and for my sister to order it(hehe)- so I ordered through royaldiscount just now...40 bucks difference not a big deal and free shipping. See how it goes...never heard of royaldiscount, but the reviews on google seem good.

Yes. If you're going to run older software (like pre 2005) I'd go 32bit without a doubt.
