I would have to say NASCAR Heat,it sound like a blast and should not be boring, also the Indy Racing game PK spoke of has got me ready for some open wheel racing.

Easily Pro Race Driver. It´s got me interested far more than any other racing game on the horizon.

Right now? I´d have to say a draw between Colin McRae Rally 3 and Grand Prix 4 for the Xbox.

CMR 3 because it´s arguably the finest, most realistic, most consistent, highest-quality driving/racing franchise in console game history. Codemasters always nails the realism and gameplay in this series, and the graphics look jaw-dropping.

Grand Prix 4 because a console finally may get a good F1 sim. Geoff Crammond is both worshipped and reviled in the PC sim racing community for his GP series, but most agree it´s pretty damn realistic. Anything has to be better than EA and 989 Sports´ F1 games, which sucked.
PK, when do Codemasters put out the IRL game? May 2003?

NASCAR Heat 2 has me really excited but Colin Mcrae should be great as well. Will Colin Mcrae have any rally racers besides the man himself?

Gators:

Not sure about the licensing of CMR 3. I would doubt it, considering Sony locked up the WRC license for its incredibly overrated WRC series for the PS2.

That game was so gorgeous ... and so DAMN EASY!

I´ve already put $25 down on Pro Race Driver, so that´s my number one "most wanted". After that it´s Ferrari F355, and possibly Auto Modellista

SF:

I agree with your analysis of WRC. But I still consider it incredibly overrated because Sony and the developer depicted it as the most realistic rally game ever, complete with the full WRC license.

And it´s not even in the same league as Colin McRae Rally in driving physics and realism. Graphically and sonically, it is beautiful, though.

Still, I think WRC is a poor use of the complete WRC license. Hopefully Sony and the developer will make the needed improvements in the sequel.

Even so, trying to chase the Colin McRae series seems as futile as a soccer-management developer trying to chase the Championship Manager series or any soccer game developer trying to chase Konami Tokyo.
