Definitely a great fight. Lasted longer than I thought it would. In his defense, Farnsworth was just born yesterday.vader29 wrote:Tommy "Smokin" Chong wins by knockout over Bootney Farnsworth in the 10th round. Thought for sure we were going to go the distance in this one as there were no knockdowns until Chong finally got Farnsworth in that 10th round, was a really good fight.

Classic!
OK, that's great! We are actually underway in the oft delayed, much anticipated Middleweight tournament.
Chong will take on the winner of the fight between Rally's "Iceman" Kasanski and Sport's mystery man.
Meanwhile, in Group B, Rob's Wheatstraw and my "Sweet Pea" Jamison are still waiting for their people to begin negotiations as to a venue and a date for our fight. MacMan's Danqueres and XXXIV's Stamos are set to fight in the next couple of days.
Gamer and Vader have set us an example; let's go!
Good luck, fighters.
All credit to Vader as he initiated the match, even though, after the drubbing he gave me, it continued on in a game of Madden.Zeppo wrote:Gamer and Vader have set us an example; let's go!

Well, Horatio "Sweet Pea" Jamison got knocked out in the 11th round, that's right, the 11th round, by Petey "Magic Man" Wheatstraw in a tough, calculated battle. I just got worn down too far to where I barely had any health or stamina left. My punches had no power at all behind them by the end.
I admit I was mighty rusty and never quite felt dangerous, but the middle rounds were very even. One judge had an even fight overall, but the other two were clearly deciding for Wheatstraw. I was hoping we would make it to the end, but I lost my patience and let myself get finished off.
Good fight, Rob. Maybe we'll have a rematch. It really is a very different game when you can't see the other guy's meters.

Antonio "Raging Bull" Danqueres (MacMan) vs Jesse "The Dream" Stamos (XXXIV)
Winner by KO Antonio "Raging Bull" Danqueres (MacMan)
Antonio Danqueres knocks out Jesse Stamos in the 5th. It was a shorter fight than some of the other bouts we've seen so far but no less exciting with lots of stuns and counter punching by each fighter. Unfortunately in the end it was the Raging Bull's body shots and a lucky haymaker to the left kidney that eventually put The Dream to sleep.
Great fight 34, can't wait for the rematch:)

Sweet Pea Jamison knocked out The Dream Stamos in an epic 8 rounder at the Garden that saw plenty of blood, swelling, and constant bickering. Jamison was stunned early in the fight, but regained his composure and whittled away at Stamos's body. As the fight wore on, the stamina melted away until there was nothing left in Stamos's punch. So many straight rights thrown by the big Greek, but too few connecting, and too many counters from Sweet Pea. Stamos went down in the 8th, stunned twice. It was the second time he went to the canvas, and this time he didn't get up.
So Sweet Pea moves on to meet the loser of the fight between Magic Man Wheatstraw and Raging Bull Danqueres.
