NBA Playoffs: Let's Tip It Off!
Anyone else pumped for the NBA Playoffs? I know I am.
I am hoping my Hawks get get past Miami relatively easily,
but DWade has been unreal lately. The Hawks also, are a bit
of a Jekyl & Hyde team (witness last year's series vs Boston), but
when they are clicking, they can hang with anyone in the NBA.

WHOA sorry about that, we have some family visiting from abroad.
I'm not terrible excited myself. Who can stop the Lakers. And any Celtics/Cavs intrigue is undercut by KG's injury. I'm hoping Lebron can win one for the good people of Cleveland before hitting the road on a bus that runs on burning money, but that's what, weeks away?

It seems like there's actually been less of that this year than in other years, but it probably has more to do with the better players around him than anything the coaches are doing. But you're right, there are still plenty of times when the coaches draw something up during a TO, and LeBron comes out of the huddle and just says "gimme the damn ball!"dbdynsty25 wrote:
By Assistants you meant Lebron right? Go ahead a Lebron...take it to em! Rough job that Mike Brown had.
Players like him make coaches look like geniuses.

But then again you can see how detrimental the wrong coach can be. Terry Porter of the Suns could have just rolled the ball out there and let Nash and Co. go crazy and they would have made the playoffs. Too bad he tried to convert the team to "his" team instead of Mike D'Antonis. So there is still something to be said about knowing what to do with your players. The Suns are the way NOT to do it...the Cavs are obviously the way TO do it.lexbur wrote:It seems like there's actually been less of that this year than in other years, but it probably has more to do with the better players around him than anything the coaches are doing. Went to Game 1 of Hawks/ Heat and the atmoshere inside Phillips was electric. The Hawks dominated Wade and the Heat completely. Josh Smith had some dunks that were just insane. Dude has some crazy skills when he decides he wants to play. Miami has a solid starting 5, but they just seemed a little off Sun nite.
Chicago almost did it to Boston again! They have to be shaken up a little to barely escape 1-1. Is KG that whole team? You would think they would still be able to handle Chicago with Pierce and Allen & Co. All these upsets have made the NBA Playoffs start out very interestingly.
GO HAWKS!!!!!!
