I nearly bit on this deal, but ran into the same thing. I think it is infinitely stupid of Walmart to offer online pricing that differs from their B&M stores, but not honor the price in-store. Hell, you can order it ship-to-store for free online, but they can't sell you one from their store stock. Also, if that is to be your policy, then *don't* offer to check inventory availability without indicating that the actual price you will get does not match the offered price online.

Sorry about the confusion guys. The price was $598 in store just a few weeks ago. Obviously, it was for a limited time. When I saw the deal again, I assumed it was another in store deal as it was stated. I guess it was only an online deal.

It's no problem. I went after that deal from a different source anyway. The thing is, that price *is* in store for participating locations. The problem is, certain markets do not honor it *and* will not PM their own online entity.

I went to my local Walmart and that TV was $648. I did see a better deal as they have a 42" 1080p Vizio at 120hz for $848. I'm waiting for that price to drop. 8)

You don't even have to pre-order, as I understand it. You just have to buy GH 5 and then submit proof before November. (Deal expires)

I really want a bigger 360 hard drive, but if things are going to get shuffled around price-wise maybe I should wait until it all shakes out. Blech.

Interesting, I was just about to invest in a 60GB HD and now this rumor. I am really running out of space and don't know if I can hold out a couple of more months.

You can always delete what you don't need or play and download it later. ;)

If you have some torque wrenches and some computer knowledge, you can mod your xbox HDD to 120GB for about $50-$80.

Only needs to drop about 280 bucks for your price range.

That's deep... but I haven't done anything like that since I woke up hungover in the late '90's, threw up, and then modded my Japanese Dreamcast to play American games in some weird haze of over-confidence. I'll wait and see how the price drops shake out. For now it looks like I can fit Madden and Red Faction on my 20GB drive, and I guess that'll do.

The 120gb HDD for 360 dropped to $119.97 on Amazon... I wonder if there's more to come? Tempting.

I still think MS can do better. I'll hold out a little longer.

Yep, definitely get the MotionPlus or a game that includes the MotionPlus. What a cool peripheral that makes the dream of 1:1 controller-to-screen movement closer to reality.

For example, I was a damn good bowler with the original Wii Sports, averaging around 235 per game. But I'm lousy in bowling with Wii Sports Resort and the MotionPlus because the controller is so much more sensitive to twists of the wrist. I'm hooking the ball like the lanes are coated with wax and Wesson oil.

My stroke used in Wii Sports is useless with Wii Sports Resort and the MotionPlus, so it's time to go back to school.

P.S.: Frisbee Golf is KICK-ASS in Wii Sports Resort. :)

Take care,
PK
