Thanks for the fix,
I just finished my second season with QPR, finishing 7th.
This season I've been giving no transfer budget, but did managed to sign Harry Kewell, Marlon King, and Martin Laursen on free.

1st season with Bristol City and I'm up to 7th. No transfer budget to speak of as I played down expectations prior to the start of the season. Have one two league cup away matches in extra time - one a thrilling third round tie versus Ipswich where we evened a 1-0 game with a goal in the 92nd minute!

What are your team needs?

I would suggest Jared Borgetti, Michael Bradley, Brian McBride, and this RB from a scrub team in england, Frank Simek.

Defenders are needed. Simek is too expensive. I have McBride, but he's too old now.

I just started playing 2008 on my PSP but have never really played any of these text sims before. Do you guys have any good pointers or any good sites to check out?

I picked Vicenza in Serie B. I have no idea what I'm doing but I won my first friendly 2-0.

When I started playing CM in 2000, I didn't know much about soccer.

My whole strategy then was to buy the best players. I would mess about as best I could with the tactics. If you have the booklet, read it. It is useful for understanding a lot of the attributes and tactics.

I did that for years. Last year was the first year, I actually kind of figured out what to do with tactics. That was watching a lot of Match of the Day and reading soccer magazines with tactics.

I haven't found the definitive website for FM regarding tactics or strategy. A lot of sites just upload a lot of formation cheats. I also stay away from any talk of players. There's a few sites for kits and logos but since you are on the PSP that won't matter.

If Squid has a good strategy site maybe he could post it.

I'm also real close to playing the game with all fake players. But I'm going to play one more time with Aberdeen. They've given me a transfer kitty of 60k. WTF is that. Hibernian, Hearts even Falkirk have 6 figures.

I like to read thedugout.tv There are a few cheat tactics posted there, but also a bunch of discussion about strategy, etc.

Who are you playing as these days?

I'm impressed by the number of leagues in FM 08. They have lower leagues for most of the leagues in the world. Irish 2nd League for instance.

If would be awesome if FM could optimize their DB to allow CPU to run every league in the world. That would be great.

Wow is right,

Aberdeen gave me 42k, with a really piss poor coach leaving, his compensation brought be up to 92k.

I think I'll offer Lyon 92k for Benzema.

I probably said this before, but there's a 6 star GK in Mexico. He's only 20-21 at the start of the game but he's quality. I think it's Guillermo Ochoa at America in Mexico.

He won Euro 08 and WC 2010 in mine. McClaren is wicked good in FM.
