Games You Have Finished
Last night i finished Uncharted and it got me to thinking how few games i have finished since the birth of the PS2/XBOX/360/PS3. Obviously i can go back to older systems but for the purposes of this thread i'd like to stay with these four systems (and PC if some of you wish, what the hell). Anyway, i have only finished four games in that span. With two of them coming in the last month i wonder if we are entering a stretch where game developers are thinking shorter is okay as long as the game is solid. Anyway, curious to hear from you guys what games you finished on SP. Mine are:
Splinter Cell (XBOX)
Gears of War (360)
COD4 (PS3)
Uncharted (PS3)
Splinter Cell (XBOX)
Gears of War (360)

Just for the 360, I've finished COD 2, COD 4, Halo 3, GoW and Bioshock. (I finish my shooters, as you can see.) I never had a prayer with Oblivion, but I imagine I'll finish Mass Effect once I pick up a copy. When my internet was down, I was much more likely to plow through SP stuff, but now I do most of my gaming online.
Off the top of My head...
MGS
MGS2
GTA Vice City
FF Tactics
Diablo
Diablo II
Fable
KoTOR
KoTOR II
Bards tale II
Assasins Creed
CoD4
Splinter Cell
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow
Crusader no Remorse?
A few more...and WoW
EDIT:I didnt fish Wow It Finished Me. I played that more than all the games I finished combined.
I would say I finished TOCA2 and MGP2 as I finished career.

Great thread as I always thought I was in the minorty about never quite finishing games but it appears that it is a bit more common.
Semi-recent games that I can think of off the top of my head...
Ico
Resident Evil 4
Dead Rising
Hmmm...
I know there are probably 2 or 3 more but I can't think of them.
The reason why I don't finish games is a simple formula really.
Not a video game story person + limited time + always newer/better games coming out in short time frames = rarely finishing a game all the way through.

I'm definitely in the "don't finish many games" camp since most of my gaming before I sold my Xbox was online and since sports and racing titles are my favorites. But I have finished:
Medal of Honor (PSX)
Call of Duty (PC)
Call of Duty 4 (PC)
Gran Turismo (PSX) -- It's impossible to "finish" a racing game, but I completed every license test and race in GT.
Pro Race Driver (Xbox) -- Finished the story mode.
Brothers in Arms (Xbox)
Close Combat: First to Fight (Xbox)
Came very close to finishing Halo on the Xbox. Not sure why I didn't!
SWAT 4, Company of Heroes, Kane & Lynch, GTA Vice City and Max Payne 2 for the PC all are on my hard drive now. I hope to play and finish them. I'll finish a lot more games now that most of the PC games I "get" don't allow online play. I still have the EA games, NR 2003 and rFactor to fill my online fix.
Take care,
PK

I actually finished quite a few on the PS2/Xbox/GameCube. The biggest were probably Resident Evil 4 (favorite game ever) and both KOTORs. I finished Metal Gear 2 on the PS2, but there was only 3 hours of actual gameplay there
On the 360, I've finished Bioshock, Tomb Raider Legend, a medium career in Guitar Hero II, and Gears. I came really close to finishing Dead Rising, but realized I was going to get one of the bad endings and didn't feel like starting over. I also should finish CoD4 and Halo 3 -- I'm pretty far along in both.
The area where I have fallen off is sports. The last football season I played all the way through was Madden 2006. I haven't finished NBA or MLB seasons since Inside Drive 2003 and ESPN MLB 2k4. Although NBA 2k8 is good enough I might actually get through a season. I did play a ton of MVP 2005 but never finished either of the seasons I started.

I try to 'finish' all my games in some way or another. Lost track of all my PS2 games, but most recently on 360:
BioShock
GH2 (Expert)
GH3 (Hard)
COD4 (Regular)
Gears of War
Portal (Regular and advanced), need to get going on HL2
Halo 3
R6: Vegas
PES 2007 (won treble in ML)
NCAA Football 2008 (completed several seasons in dynasty)
Probably the game I spent the most time on though was GTA: Vice City on PS2 though. I did basically everything in that game...every package, mission, property...etc.

I finish a lot more games since I got an Xbox 360.
Maybe it is because of the achievements, or maybe because of a change in attitude - or maybe it is because after spending all that time and money to get a next gen console shortly after release by hitting stores at opening time for weeks on end and then paying 60 bones for games, I damn sure was going to finish a game I bought and paid for on my expensive new console!
Of course, there may be some people who would claim that a game is not finished if you did not play multiplayer or if you did not play the game on the highest difficulty level....
But here is a partial list of 360 games
Condemned
F.E.A.R
Bioshock
Oblivion
COD 2
COD 3
Civil War
Gears of War
The Darkness
Games I wish I had finished but did not finish - Dead Rising. But there is one thing I just won't do in a game and that is struggle with timed levels. I have enough stress in my life.
On the PC, I am a huge Thief fan. When Looking Glass went out of business and I thought Thief 2 was the end of the series, I never finished the last level. It was one of those levels I hate anyway - where you have a grocery list of things to do - but it remains incomplete to this day.
But I did finish Thief, Thief3, HalfLife and HL2. And Deus Ex.
First game i ever finished? Quake 2. I used walkthroughs but I did it.
I also never finished any of the Halo games.

Here's this year's game list
All Halo's...don't know why. I didn't really enjoy 2 and 3.
COD 4 just because it was short
KOTOR 1 - on 2 I got to the final battle but didn't feel like playing it.
Call of Jaurez - ok game, good length.
Crackdown
Battlestations Midway.
Star Trek Legacy. Terrible game.
Games I lose interest in to sports games.
Bioshock. Got bored with it, think I started playing FIFA instead.
Ass Creed - I know I'm not going to finish this game. After an hour of sit-down time, I want to break the disc. Next day, I forget why I hated it, and fire it back up again only to get frustrated.

None...yet. I'm picking up Uncharted and Ratchet for Christmas, but so far I've ditched the PS3 games I've played and it's just an expensive PS2 and Blu-ray player so far.
I'm sure there are more, but hey, I think I've bored you guys enough. I'm just glad my wife indulges my habit! I also thank the devs for making the addictive music and puzzle games that have her hooked now as well.

I wish I had keep track of games that I finished way back when (talking 2600 and on). Well, most 2600 games don't have an ending but some games you can flip the score, so maybe that counts. But I remember finishing Adventure and Pitfall 2.
And I played the heck out of so many NES/SMS/Genesis/SNES games too.
Someday, I will try to compile a list. Before I forget everything....

This year I've finished:
Tomb Raider Legend (Xbox)
Odin Sphere (PS2)
Tomb Raider Anniversary (PS2)
FEAR and FEAR Extraction Point (PC)
Half-Life 2 Episodes 1 & 2 and Portal (PC)
Final Fantasy Tactics (PSP)
I spent so many hours playing Winning Eleven: PES 2007 that I didn't have much time left for playing and finishing other games.
If I buy a game I almost always finish it, unless I can admit that the game is just too hard for me to complete it without dedicating my life to it. I'm up to the last boss on GH 3 on Medium, but my fingers just aren't quick enough for that game.
