rFactor Poker Night tonight? (Wednesday, Oct. 3)
Taking the temperature for interest in an rFactor Poker Night at 10:30 p.m. (ET) tonight. We'll decide on mods and tracks once sufficient interest has been established.
Thanks,
PK

Guys, it is the 1st Wed of the month and I have to take Grandpa to his AL Post meeting.
I want to apologize for my lack of racing the last 5 weeks. With school starting my time and energy dips to a major low.
Once things settle down, I look to get in a few races with you every Wednesday except the 1st one of the month.
Happy racing!

We're up to four, which is good. Pile on, boys!
Let's start talking about mods and tracks. Toss out your ideas, or I'll be the Great Decider. I want democracy to have a chance!
Take care,
PK

Agreed, man. That mod is a candidate for tonight. I like it because there are different machines within the same mod, which is cool.
Feel free to invite buddies.
Take care,

I remember a Glen from our Batracer season - same fella?
I'd have a look at the ALMS, which I did mean to download last night but didn't get around to before I fell asleep. I can see it being a bit of a Bentley spec race (what a car...) but it could be fun.
One more chance for the Champcars somewhere, maybe?
Edit: What about Fabcar?

We'll probably run Champ Cars somewhere, although Euro F3 and Formula BMW are good open-wheel mods, too. I'd rather choose between Sports Car Challenge (ALMS) and Fabcar (Grand Am) rather than run both, as I don't want to go prototype crazy.GB_Simo wrote:I remember a Glen from our Batracer season - same fella?

The ideal mix is one sports car mod, one open-wheel mod and one touring car mod. Think along those lines, boys.

Far out, Jimmy!
OK, here's the lineup, lads (CHANGED since originally posted):
1. ETCC 1.2 at Essington
Mod: http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=ETCC
Track: Stock
2. Champ Car 1.1 at Brianza 1.0 Italian Grand Prix
Mod: http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cf ... d%20Series
Track: http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=Brianza
Note: Brianza (Monza) may be a stock track. I'm not sure. Check before downloading, and ensure you have the Italian GP track with your Brianza version.
3. Sports Car Challenge 1.2 2003 Addon at Le Mans (Virtua LM) 1979 1.0
Mod: http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cf ... %20Mans%29
Track: http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cf ... 972%2D1986
Note: That's Le Mans with the full Mulsanne Straight -- no chicanes. It seems to go on forever, and I bet a Bentley will reach 215 mph on it!
P.S.: Don't use any texture updates on these tracks. That means you, Don!
See you cats at 10:30 p.m.! Please post with any questions or comments.
Thanks,
PK

Be my guest, tosser! I put out the call for people to choose, and everyone put their balls firmly on the fence. So I took away the fence.Jimmydeicide wrote:you suck.
Brianza for champ and if you cant race on an English track then essington for etcc.
Next time im calling the races loser.
P.S.: The ETCC and WTCC both race(d) at Monza, so it's not that out of character.
Take care,
PK

Do people want to switch Essington and Brianza for ETCC and Champ Car, respectively?
Jimmy is right: Monza is better suited for a Champ Car with its long straights and sweeping corners, while the tighter nature of Essington is ideal for a touring car.
F*ck it, no vote. I'm switching it. Please see the updated lineup above.
Take care,
The rFactor Dictator

We need to decide on a class in the Sports Car Challenge 2003 mod and choose any of the cars in that class. I vote for LMP 900 or LMP 675 so we can run prototypes. I'm all for LMP 900 so I can run the Bentley or the Audi.Jimmydeicide wrote:Hey , just wondering for the lemans, arnt we all gonna need the same class in order to have a race ? or are all the cars going to be as fast as each other ?
Im not racing Adams Bently in a BMW am i?
Sh*t, this is going to end up being a Bentley IROC race. Still will be fun!
Take care,
PK

Thanks for setting this up Paul. Anyone interested in trying out the ALMS mod at Road Atlanta in anticipation of this weekends Petit LeMans (which I am taking my son to by the way)?
The Road Atlanta 2007 Beta can be found at the link below. This track was created from scratch by Uzzi (maker of the Lime Rock track for rFactor), and while not finished, is still much better than the conversion that is available from rFactor Central.

PS - I will get the servers setup for these tracks and mods, although I will not make any promises for ETCC mod as getting that one to work has constantly alluded me for some reason.
