Will NBA Live08 have multiplayer 3 on 3?

Not sure if this has been pointed out yet, but similiar to NHL08, Live will have multiplayer 3 on 3. This is a huge plus for the game. I think it comes out today...anyone plan on picking it up? I have to admit I have been enjoying the demo more and more. I was a bit quick to dismiss it as typically being way behind 2K's game, but it looks as though we may have a hoops game race this year!

Crap. Now I'm going to have a really hard time not getting this stupid basketball game. I was hoping to avoid getting a hoops game this year, but sheesh, three on three, even two on two, could be brilliant fun! Maybe it'll be a gamefly for me.

Gamefly just received the 2 games I sent back and I have this and NBA 2k8 on the top of my queue. I'm sure Live will ship but I'm a little worried that 2k8 will be on low availability. My backup after 2k8 is PGR4 so it wouldn't be the end of the world. This is my first basketball season with Gamefly and it's already paying dividends. Every year I say I won't buy a basketball game yet every year I do only to tire of it in 2 weeks. Now I can do that at a lower cost!

Edit: Just checked my Queue and 2k8 is listed as shipping next. Live should be shipping tomorrow so I should have both by weeks end. I would definitely love to try out some 3-on-3 multiplayer with those who get this game.

Will rent this game for this very reason. That's a cool feature, as long as you're not teamed up with a couple ball hogs! Still purchasing 2K8.

Gamefly shows 2K8 as having shipped today...hopefully Live tomorrow. It's been a while since I've actually wanted to play Live. Gamefly is just perfect for this sort of thing.

I might have to check out these online rental places again. Right now, I'm paying $6.99 a rental from Blockbuster. Because they don't have late fees, I can usually hang on to a game for two weeks.

He!! fvckin' yea!!! I don't care to much for videogaming basketball, but, I will purchasing this just for the Online Team Multiplayer. 2K8 won't even get a sniff from me.

I thought 2k had 4 on 4 (360) and 5 on 5 (PS3), although I could very well be mistaken. Or maybe all players have to be using the same console(?)

Sorry guys, Live doesn't have this.

It has 3 on 3 if you have 2 people on your own system, but not six 360's like on NHL.

Unfortunately, I may have been wrong on this one. Here is what I just found on gamespot:

"Other noteworthy online options in the game include a versus mode, which pits you and up to three friends on the same console against an online foe (also with up to three friends)"

I could have sworn I read somewhere that it had similiar online capabilities as NHL08. Can anyone else confirm if this is true or not?
