pinks on speedchannel

Post by fletcher21 »

this show is so great, one of the best since 2000 id say

does anyone know if it's available on dvd?

something tells me it's a little phony tho, since ive yet to see an episode where at least one of the cars doesn't break down... that's not very realistic

Say what? My 6-year-old son and I have watched nearly every episode of "Pinks," and breakdowns don't occur nearly as much as you say.

Cars often get out of the groove or the driver misses a shift, but that's not a breakdown. That's driver error.

I agree, though: "Pinks" is a damn good show. We really dig it.

Take care,

i don't mean total breakdown, but there has yet to be an episode i've seen( about 10) that at least one of the 2 cars didn't have something break, or about to break... it makes me a little suspicious, as ive been track racing for years, and it's rare to see that happen, much less not even being able to make it 3-5 runs without a failure... but it's a very catchy and smart show.. rich is great

Fletch:

That's true. But remember that nearly all of these cars are set up for bracket racing and might deliberately dial in a bit high at their local track to avoid breakdowns.

Sure, you run the risk of breaking out with a sandbagged dial-in, but losing a race is a lot cheaper than losing an engine.

So a lot of these guys are winding out their cars full-blast more than at the typical bracket race. Plus it looks like there's not a hell of a lot of time between rounds, unlike the typical bracket race.

Just a guess as to why the amount of breakdowns and malfunctions seems a tick higher than your local bracket race.

Take care,
PK

no doubt pk... its entertaining no matter what the case may be, and its surprising nothing like this has been thought of before pinks was made...

i am anxious for the dvds to be released, as i just recently got into the show and missed several old ones... any idea of a dvd release pk?

BB!

Like the swallows returning to San Juan Capistrano, you always can count on BB returning to DSP when Fletch checks in! :)

Hope all is cool, man.
