"The players come from all over the world, the money from deep underneath the Persian Gulf, but, as another, older City poster campaign put it, this is their city. They may now exist in the global spotlight, but they intend to keep it that way."

I'm a father of two boys and my goal in life is to have my children feel the same way about me as you do about your father. It sounds like he touched so many lives and therefore he will be with you always in your heart, soul, and mind. God bless you and your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
I feel for you and your family, and I've been touched and honored to have you share the quality of both your love and your Dad's love with everyone here.
I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of your father Don. The story of the last few months of his life and the strength of your family and your love and respect for one another is nothing short of inspirational, thank you so much for sharing it with us.
So much has already been said that I'd just like to echo the thoughts of all the other lads who've posted. Your dad clearly touched the lives of many, including all of us here, and I hope knowing that provides some comfort. Best wishes, you're in my thoughts.
My condolances Don. The strength of your family as you have described them these past months is amazing, and will very much be needed now. Perhaps that strength is one of your fathers legacies, and a pretty damn good one it is.
My deepest sympathies on your loss. I know how hard it can be on a family when a member has suffered serious medical problems. My father has been on a ventilator for about 2 years now, suffering from ALS.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
My deepest sympathies to you and your family. This thread has been very emotional yet quite inspirational. Stay strong and know that you have our continued thoughts.
