I'm now fully erect in anticipation of this game. My No. 1 most coveted title of 2015. 8O

TMI? :D

You realize the XB1 controller doesn't have a speaker draining the battery life, so how can you really enjoy the thrill of the pit crew talking to you?

In all seriousness, I'm in for the PCH. I loved the coastal drives in FH2, but I'm really excited to see what SMS has done for Highway 1.

My wife and I went to SF for our honeymoon, and after a few days rented a Mustang and drove the PCH to LA. I was pretty awesome, although if I do it again I'm driving north. While it was awesome, it was also terrifying. I would have been better off in Honda I was comfortable with than a sports car I was not used to driving at all, too.

Guess I'm in the opposite camp: I could care less about driving on the PCH.

I'm stoked out of my brains to drive real race cars from many different eras on real racetracks with changing weather and hopefully great physics.

Pk- is this more sim or arcade or mix?

Also xbo or ps4. I'm sure ps4 will probably look better but the xbo controller neutralizes that.

It going to be on par with Forza proper and and Gran Turismo. The Shift games from last gen failed to cross that threshold, but it is absolutely Slightly Mad's aim. I might hem and haw about picking this up because I prefer more arcade, but before FH2, the Shift series was the closest to PGR, in my opinion. They earned another purchase because I think it is going to be fun as hell to drive.

I should add that their cockpit cam set the standard last gen, and it's the prime feature I'm excited about. But damn, it looks good.

At least with the PC version I can say it is definitely a sim, but with the ability to add assists to make it very accessible. Physics have undergone many tweaks over the last couple years, and there is certainly debate on how "sim" it is, but I would call it a sim for sure. I will be picking this up for XB1 as well, so it will be interesting to compare the PC and console versions. My old PC currently has problems, so I have not run the latest builds (my issue, not a Project Cars issue). If I get it running any time soon before the release, and can verify that my NDA allows me to talk freely now, I will post more info. Safe to say I am very excited for the release. Here is a very cool video courtesy of DigiProst and http://www.virtualr.net of the driver eye camera and the wet weather effects at Laguna Seca.

You can see some discussion/debate/trolling below in the comments regarding the sim vs arcade for PCARs. Enter at your own risk :)

Sim, at least compared to all other console racers. Slighty Mad has been very clear about that from the outset of development, which is mighty fine with me.

I'm most likely getting this week one, if not day one, but the delay is not too big of a deal. I've got racing games, and plenty of other stuff. This looks like a great addition to my library of games, but I will enjoy it just fine when it drops.

Now, of Arkham Knight slips, I'm going to problems. Next gen needs a hero. Batman may not be the hero we deserve, but he is the one we need.

The game is further delayed until the first week of April, but they are offering free DLC as compensation.

They delayed it to April back in February.

But now it's delayed until mid-May.

Still interested in this title, and love the developer. But games that are delayed multiple times raise huge red flags. They still have plenty of time to get this out and prove that they have more to offer than Forza 6, but I'm not really counting on it so much anymore.

Every time this thread is updated I fear a new delay.

Is this or f1 2015 going to make it to market first?

Unless you have a hefty PC (which I assume you do), I would probably get it for the One.

All Ian Bell led games (Shift, Slightly Mad, Simbin) have had multiple release date/delays. It's just what they seem to do. Could be on purpose to generate hype, could just be they are overly optimistic, or they could just be like all development teams that want to make things as good as possible and keep finding bugs and issues they want to fix.

The PC version is very solid at this point, so there is no doubt in my mind that it is going to be released. My guess is that the delay is more related to the consoles. In this particular case, the delays do not concern me too much. They have been following an Agile development methodology with this project and every week for 2 years I have watched it evolve and improve based on user feedback, bug finding, etc. I am excited to see how it translates to the Xbox One.

Below is a pretty cool video comparing the physics of Project Cars to iRacing.

Some Xbox One footage. They mention 44 cars at LeMans. Pretty cool.

And they added "Willow Springs" that might just bring "ZEEPO" out the woodwork. :)
