Don´t want to come across as the Gameday pimp but for some damn reason this game is very intriguing to me. Check it out!

Nothing wrong with a little trolling every now and then. Especially with how much crap I get over on the "other side" by you guys.

[ This message was edited by: dbdynsty25 on 21-08-2003 11:30 ]

actually it was 10 minutes not 5 and trust me the game in question didn´t deserve anymore time than it got! You also forget that same day I played another game of the same genre at best buy for a good 30 minutes and at least that game was able to hold my attention.

Tim:
Please, oh, please don´t tell me you´re one of those guys who camps out at gaming kiosks in electronics stores. I want to sever the gonads off those guys!

One, they´re hogging the unit for others who might want to use them. Two, I just want to scream to them: "Rent or buy the game already, you cheap f*ck. Get a f*cking life and stop using Best Buy as your rec room!"

Yeah, I feel better now.

Of course not Paul...but being a guy I like to go to best buy often. My little boy always wants to go there...every friday night when i get home thats the first thing he asks me.
If I find a game in a kiosk that I feel is worthy of my time of course i´m going to play it. Also because of those kiosks i´m almost purchased an Xbox just for Moto GPII.

There´s a bit more discussion of Gameday in OS. Some have described the online option as being better than XSN with the ability to chat by voice in the lobby (Madden for instance won´t let you voice chat until you get into the game).

People are making a big deal of the voice recognition but that doesn´t really sound that appealing.

The thing is, even if the game is terrific, it´ll take at least a couple of years for it to build up a sizeable base of online players.

More than likely, it´s not going to play well, if it´s anything like the last two years, which trace their heritage back to GD99 and GD2000, the crap games, instead of the glorious GD97 and GD98.

I will only rent if I´m on some game rental plan and I got nothing better to do. My hands are full with Madden and NCAA and I plan to check out ESPN as well as other sports games.

It´s just getting too crowded, the field of online sports games. Never thought the day would come...

I enjoyed Gameday last year even though it was definitely far behind Madden and NFL in terms of overall quality. After seeing the movies from IGN and seeing it on Fox Sports Channel during the Rookie special, it looks even better than last year. I´m happy to see that you can finally throw to all 5 wideouts while running a 5 wideout set unlike last year when you could only throw it to 4. The smoothness of the game appears to have been improved as well as the speed. From what I´ve read, the online portion is excellent and the AI has been addressed. We´ll have to wait and see how good it turns out.
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.
