End Game isn't all that different, but the maps are really, really good so far. Love the dirt bikes.

Prepare for a couple of big downloads if you haven't been on in a while. Multiplayer update was almost 2 GB and end game was around 1.6.. (maybe)

I'm on the road. But I'm eager to download this and play it with you cats over the weekend.

I still play BF3 at least one night per week. Love it. Never grows old.

I'll be on later, hopefully. Got to knock off a couple episodes of The Americans first.

Guys,

Does the Premium edition have everything on discs? Or does it just have the original game and codes to download the expansions? With only a 5gb/month limit, I'd rather not use it up downloading everything.

It just gives you the right to download everything. 3+ GBs I think.

Where are you that your ISP limits your bandwidth, or are you using a cellular card to download?

Yep, cellular card. Live out in the sticks. I've checked and as far as I can tell only options are cellular card or satellite. I tried the satellite route and it sucked. Cell card isn't too bad. Never thought there was a chance I could play online, but I got a 14 day gold trial for Live and tried it out. Works surprisingly well. And didn't realize that online gaming really doesn't use that much bandwidth. I don't do much streaming at all. Only thing that kills me is the downloads.

Have you checked HughesNet recently? They have significantly improved their download speeds, tho upload still lags a big. Plus their latency has been significantly reduced as well. It was just upgraded recently (apparently).

I've read in the forums that the latency is still way too high with satellite, even with the gen4 upgrade.

This card is working pretty decent. I really get very little lag. I can always upgrade my limit if needed, but I'll try the 5gb for now.

I was just hoping that the put most or all the extras on the discs in the premium version, somewhat like the the GOY editions for Fallout 3.

So I guess the consensus now is that BF3 is better than BF BC2? I was reading some old topics and it looked like some people were on the fence.

BF: BC2 is much, MUCH better single player experience. Online is close with The Onslought and Vietnam expansions. I also like some of the default maps better in BC2. My one beef, and it's big, is that you can't go prone in BC2.

BF3 with Premium is a very nice package. Single player is average, at best, but online there something for everybody.
