I read today there was a mondo tornado in Madison County, Alabama. If memory serves correctly, you live in Madison.

Yes, hope all is well. I have many colleagues in the Huntsville area. Was on the phone with one today ~1030 CST and he said a bunch of folks left work early to grab their kids and check on property. He said he doesn't want a repeat of last year.

My parents live in Cullman just south of Huntsville. Just checked in they are fine. Man that area has had a couple bad tornado seasons.

There's a lot of severe weather in southern Ohio/Indiana as well as Kentucky..

Update on Teal, culled from his Facebook page: He's OK. No twisters hit his neighborhood. Tornado hit his folks' neighborhood, trashing a house about 100 yards from his parents' place.

Take a look at his Facebook page (Jason Teal) for some stunning photos.

Teal said more bad weather is heading their way. Fingers crossed, good thoughts and help from The Man upstairs.

It's all gone north of us so far. We've got supplies, fully fueled vehicles, power inverters, and about a bajillion fully charged mobile devices in case we have to take shelter. We learned our lesson last year when power was out in Huntsville for several days.

Thanks, fellas. Just got back home now. Man, what a day! Left early this morning with dad to head to Birmingham to watch some High School basketball championships, and mom called dad. She was telling dad things were looking kind of rough, then she began screaming TORNADO! TORNADO! and hung up. Dad and I swung the truck around and headed home. Man. The neighborhood adjoining theirs had significant damage, just yards from mom and dad's house. We got out and began picking up debris, checking on folks. It was a long day.

But we're fine. Unlike last April 27th, there were no fatalaties, and the injuries were kept to a minimum, only one serious...so far. We have a couple more systems to deal with tonight, but we're celebrating our eight year old's birthday tonight anyway. Appreciate the concerns.

I just moved back from Madison to Augusta, GA last Nov.

I still have a house for sale in Madison.... where many of the tornadoes were described to be. I don't know if my house is still standing or not.

I really hope it took out my house and left all the others standing.

I took some pics last spring of the storms from my back yard. One of them was a picture of the clouds touching my neighbors roof. I was too stupid to know
it was really the outside(way outside - damage was about a mile away) of funnel.

Beautiful pictures, awful destruction.
