What is that?
Hot Shots Golf 5. I always enjoyed this title on the PSP.
Agreed! Is it really coming out next month? I am skeptical.

What are you skeptical about? Wheather or not it'll be good? It's already out in Japan.

I can't see me buying a PS3 until they start bundling the Dual Shock 3 with it. So that should be well into next year.

Seems to me Sony had pretty much just given up on Holiday Season 07, looks like they are gearing all their big games, announcements etc for Spring 08. Interesting strategy to say the least.

Long movie of Uncharted:

http://www.gamersyde.com/stream_4772_fr.html

Again with the climbing which people who've played Ico might recognize.

Also Flashback.

There are some glitches with the animation, sometimes he's walking on air or climing off a ledge and he's hanging in air.

Thanks for the link Wco. Visually, it looks fantastic and the gameplay looks like adventurous fun. Overall, much more appealing than a FPS.

The thing that concerns me is the difficulty of locking on to your enemies, and also your overall health. It appears as if you can take multiple bullets, but perhaps the game was being played on the easiest setting. I gotta believe the glitches such as the ones you mentioned will be ironed out when the retail version is released.

I'll find out next week if I have a trip to Japan in December, if so, most definitely.

Yes,

I'm hoping the importing is so commonplace that the prices are low. If it's more than $65, I'll probably just wait (and hope that the US version is slightly larger for our BIG hands).

I've decided to wait. The five PS3 games I own don't really utilize the controller that well including Motorstorm. Hopefully once the controller is out in the US all the games that follow will have rumble incorporated into the game and rumble won't be an afterthought.

Don't know if PS3 owners already knew this, but Amazon has a "Buy 2 get a 3rd Free" deal on Blu-ray movies.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?i ... 1&plpage=1

They have 103 titles to choose from. No Die Hard 4.0. :x

Heard that Play-Asia will ship the Dual Shock 3 for $54 shipped.

Amazon was selling the Six-Axis for $20 apparently.

Has anyone played Virtua Tennis 3 on the PS3?

I know it doesn't have online play, but it's on sale on Gamestop for $20 'till sunday.

Worth it?

There's a demo, played it quite a bit.

On the difficulty they let you play at, you can win every point.

So the game better let you play at a higher difficulty than the demo.

Any player can play at the net and you can't be aced in the game at all.

I still have for the 360 and PSP. For that price go for it. Don't expect anything sim like as it still plays more on the arcade side but it's fun, especially doubles play.

I almost forgot to order it. The deal was only available online and I've always enjoyed VT so I pulled the trigger.

Now I need to stop myself from searching for Blu-ray deals online.

Amazon.com has a Buy 1 get 1 free deal, so I ordered Training Day and Swordfish. Not bad for $20.

The selection of movies for that deal isn't huge, but they do have some other good movies like Blood Diamond and The Departed.

Just a heads-up to not automatically pitch that uber-glossy PS3 Holiday Gift Guide that should be arriving in the mail from Sony for all registered PS3 owners. On the inside flap is a $10 off coupon on any PS3 title at Best Buy. I nearly missed this.

Sweet.

Best Buy is opening a store here in PR early '08.

Finally.

I have really been enjoying the Media Server functionality of the PS3 lately. I finally got a new router and it works like a charm. Spent last night ripping and converting my copies of Band Of Brothers so I can access them on the PS3...turned out great. I'm finding the PS3 to be more user friendly when it comes to video sharing. I also started using my Nero Media Home as a server and its much better than WMP 11.
