Locked up again early in my round last night - unfortunately the leaderboard recorded my round as 11 strokes! I couldn´t replay or resume the round so I had to quit the tourney (snif ). See you next time!

Had my first EASO mishap today. Shot my 3rd round and carded a 71. When it took me back to the main menu after my game there was no sign that I ever shot my 3rd round. No score on the leaderboard and my profile still said 3rd round for the Digital Sports Tournament. I went ahead and played it again, carding a 65 and this time it went through.

I´ll take the extra 5 strokes, but that is very frustrating and I hope it was just a fluke.

Played round 3 just like all the others. Started off ok, actually finished the front 9 with personal best 38. Fell apart on the back 9 with a 47, to finish the round at 85. I really suck at this game. But it sure is fun.

Guys,

I really hate that the tournament is being marred by EASO issues. Oh well, it was all for fun anyway, and hopefully a learning experience for us and EA Sports.

I shocked myself with a 66 in the final round today! I had one bogey, a lot of scrambling pars, and one sand blast for a birdie. The dry greens really didn´t intimidate me as much as I thought they would. I made a lot of 4 to 6 footers coming back for pars.

In a way, I feel a bit guilty about shooting a 66, considering the panzy way I played. I´m having to club up one to two clubs per approach shot because I´m only average about 90% clubhead speed. I hit one drive today that went 292 yards with 90% clubhead speed, using senior shafts with the two piece ball. Somehow I feel that shouldn´t happen.

How about the rest of you; what clubhead speed are you averaging?

I see that btmayor finished 2nd in our tournament - congratulations bt.... way to come out of the gate! I´d like to ask what swing method you were using, along with ball, club shaft, and club type? I´m trying to find the most satisfactory mix for my own use.

Thanks!

Thanks John, I enjoyed it.

I´m using Trueswing (V), can´t see why anyone would want to click in this game.

As far as ball, club shaft and type they are all at their defaults for me -- Regular, Light perimeter weighted, and Solid core. I believe these are all middle of the road selections. I like to get a grip on the game and the way I´m playing it before I start to mess around with different equipment. Once I get comfortable with things and see where my scores settle in at, I´ll start to experiment a little.

BTW, so much for my comment earlier in this thread about my driving accuracy in Champ mode. After the DSP Tourney and a couple of on-line matches, I´m barely hanging in the 70% range. I must have developed a few bad habits since my first few rounds with the game.
