I have the PC version and the graphical choppiness has returned. Any throw across the diamond from 3B - 1B or vice versa is choppy as hell. I can't believe it. Its almost as bad as last year...maybe worse. Other than that its playing a favorable games of baseball.

A couple of screens and you guys are jumping all over the game already? I want to see/hear some hands on impressions before I get to that level. Another solid baseball title is welcome though :)

I don't mind the release dates being moved up. These games have been done for a while. Its not like they can miraculously produce the game CDs. I'd be willing to bet that both MVP and 2K5 have been ready for weeks. Just my opinion.

Agreed. We all know that some of EA's sliders are, well, you know.

New Screens Of MVP2005 Show Some Interesting New Sliders

Wow, this changes alot about my perception of the game. New pitching sliders give hope for walks and higher pitch counts. Player editor looks much better also. Any thoughts?

Nitpicking here, but I hate the way the camera pans after contact. Just doesn't look right to me. The game does look good but MLB looks better. Best PLAYING game will get the nod from me :)

Well, I rented this game the other day, due to all the fuss...and I must say, I'm having alot of fun with it. Impressive game. I wouldn't say I'm a soccer convert but it is a fun game. I'm playing on 2 stars in the Master League With Merseyside Red and I'm 0-0-2. Tied both games 1-1. I love the feel...

Looks like a very cool piece of hardware. That being said, I'll be waiting to see how things pan out. My need for a portable system isn't that great and to drop $250 at launch doesn't make sense for my budget.

IMO, the only major things that hurt MLB last year (other than the obvious roster glitch) were the lack of check swings and the lack of walks. If check swings were in the game, that in itself would have increased walks. The developers have supposedly addressed both of these issues and it looks like ...

Just rented WE8 to see what all of the fuss is about. Like I mentioned in a previous post, I'm a major novice when it comes to soccer so I'm gonna do the tutorial first. Hope I like it :)

Looks like anyone who liked the game last year will really like this year's version. I've watched the videos a couple of times now and can't wait for March 1. Wonder how stripped down the PSP version will be.

Its already been confirmed that the game is "lefty bug free". A patch (on the PC) fixed the problem last year so its not like they don't have the code.

MVP For $29.99...Could Be True

From another board. Take it for what its worth:
Some of you might know I manage a little independant video game retail store in Baton Rouge, LA and seconds ago I got an email from my Electronic Arts sales rep notifying us of a price drop on the MSRP of MVP Baseball 2005 from $49.99 to $29.99
