Re: The Beautiful Game, Fútbol, Calcio, Footie Season 22/23.

Greatest game these eyes have ever seen. Yep. Only comps that come to my mind immediately are 2005 Champions League final in Istanbul and Aguero scoring in extra time on the final day of the 2012 season to snatch the title from one side of Manchester to the other. U.S. women winning the 1999 World ...

All things considered, that final was one of the most extraordinary sporting events I've seen. Breathtaking.

Re: The Beautiful Game, Fútbol, Calcio, Footie Season 22/23.

Just speechless now. In tears actually as I think of dad. Best finals in awhile, the game had everything, the best team won. Hate that it went to penalties but in the end Messi deserved to go this way. Because of generations, my love for the other #10 that passed, I always had Maradona as my hero b...

Re: XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)

And out of nowhere Chivalry 2!!!! Wow gamepass with the slam dunk! Teal and I have played this game quite a bit this week, and it's FUN AS HELL. Chivalry II is a perfect blend of old and new school. It's very pretty, with fluid animations and easy controls. But it's also repetitive in the sense tha...

Re: Hockey Night In DSP 2022-2023

With his hat trick the gre8t OV scored his 800th goal in the league just a score shy of tying Gordie Howe Record of 801. Who’s says that in the next couple of years if he stays healthy he doesn’t beat what seemed impossible for ages and surpass Gretzky’s all time record? He will break 99's record. ...

Re: The Beautiful Game, Fútbol, Calcio, Footie Season 22/23.

Haven’t had so many mixed emotions in one day for awhile. From witnessing the burial of my Dad today to watching the magic of Messi at its best. Both Brazil and Argentina played thrillers more so the latter game when the Orange tied it in the last minute only to be decided in PKs. So sorry for your...

Speaking of that..... TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3 Announced: May, 2023 Release https://racesimcentral.net/tt-isle-of-man-ride-on-the-edge-3-announced-may-2023-release/ Yesterday during Milan Games Week, RaceWard Studio (who I thought had fully re-branded to Nacon Milan – because that’s what...

Re: Racing Sim Thread, Part II

TT Isle of Man Ride on the Edge 2 is on sale for $12. Tackling the 37.7-mile Mountain Course around the Isle of Man is perhaps the toughest -- yet most enjoyable and rewarding -- racing experience I've had on a console. This game is TOUGH. But man, it's fun. The sense of speed is just insane for a s...

And yes I don’t need to express my sentimentalism for Argentina here, but I know this is indeed his last crack at it along Ronaldo and the only trophy missing in his great career.
I'm not English; I would LOVE to see Argentina win the whole thing. :)

Re: The Beautiful Game, Fútbol, Calcio, Footie Season 22/23.

I'm normally geeked out of my mind for the World Cup, but not this one, for a few reasons. One, the corruption and cynicism. Yes, corruption and cynicism are synonyms for FIFA, but this World Cup is the most greedy and amoral in the tourney's long history of soiled shorts. That's saying something. Q...

Re: Racing Sim Thread, Part II

On what was a great day for tiny racing achievements, I also finally got round the Mountain Course on Isle of Man TT 2 without falling off the bike. I was quite pleased with myself until I checked the Supersport leaderboard and found that the top dog could have finished his lap, quit the game, Quic...

Re: NFL 2022/2023 Talk

Allen has sucked the last two to three weeks. Forget the MVP campaign -- let's just try to win a playoff game. We're gonna find out soon enough that his elbow is really f'd and he's trying to do too much with the limitation. It's the only thing I can think of. Hard to go from a top 1-3 QB over the ...

Re: NFL 2022/2023 Talk

Bills have lost 3 games because Josh Allen regressed to his 2 years ago self. This started in the 2nd half of the Packers game and has keep on going. I would love to disagree with you as the resident Bills' fanatic here. I can't. You nailed the bull's-eye, Dan. Allen has sucked the last two to thre...

Re: Racing Sim Thread, Part II

To me, Kylotonn for WRC games is a lot like Milestone for MotoGP games -- no matter how hard they try to improve the physics and how many "features" they add to the game, it just doesn't stack up to prior developers' work. In rally gaming, Codemasters still is king. In MotoGP games, Climax created t...

Re: NHL 23

The two biggest improvements for me are that the poke check actually works without incurring a tripping penalty and that the CPU team moves for loose pucks at a slower pace that's equal to the CPU-controlled players of the human team. Still not enough penalties. Still not enough CPU D men launching ...

At Simulation settings, happy to report NHL 23 plays the most realistic game of offline hockey of any EA title in the last decade.

Playing a World Juniors tournament as Team USA. Really enjoying it, with close, realistic games.

Re: NHL 23

I'm not sure what's going on at EA. Is it lack of programmers? Try lack of competition. EA can mail it in any year it wants, and there is no rival game to pick up lost customers. And EA knows most sports gamers are lemmings and will buy the new title for their favorite franchise(s) every year, even...

For anyone playing this game, Terry's advice about flicking the car into the corner and then modulating the throttle -- not vice-versa -- is MONEY. Yeah, I stumbled upon the same discovery racing with Teal about a week ago, but the same technique is slicing my lap times now at every track. It really...

I could hear the Outlaws in my back yard when they ran at Rolling Wheels Raceway, which is less than 10 miles from my house. Another plus of WoO: The fictional tracks, nearly all carried over from Tony Stewart's Sprint Car Racing, are almost all excellent. I've seen a few complaints that not every track in the real World of Outlaws circuit is included in the game. Are you sh*tting me? WoO races on nearly 50 tracks around ...

- I feel like I get the basics of the handling model straight away. I also feel like I'd be going much faster if I understood the depths of it. That's perfect for console racing - you can get round the track reasonably well straight away, but you'll be a long way from maximising your speed, so ther...

I feel the same way, I used to be more of a sim guy in racers but now it’s about fun. I’m deciding between World of Outlaws and Dakar Desert Rally. I think both will drop in price in the next couple months so I may wait for that and get them both. I loved the original World of Outlaws game myself! ...

I don't own the game, nor does it seem to be available physically here, nor do I want to pay 50 quid for it digitally. But if there's a Poker Night, I will forget all of those things and make sure I'm there.
Trust me, matey: WoO is worth 50 quid, and then some. GREAT game.
