Make sure to check the list of available teams a few pages back before signing up (which doesn't necessarily correspond to the one online) - don't make my mistake ;(

Thanks Dan, no worries - it was my bad to begin with by not reading all the rules and the ban is no doubt the result of trying to fix my mistake. If you guys can save the Pack for me I'm sure we can sort it out when he gets back.

Yeah, sorry. I only read far enough back in the thread to see the instructions for joining online. I'll take the Packers if they're still available and will see if I can dump the Vikes - otherwise please boot me and I'll rejoin. Thanks. EDIT: I tried to rejoin with the Packers and can't - says I've ...

Umm no you're not.

See the 5 page sign up thread in front of you? See the fact that someone has the vikings.
Um, okay, no I didn't see that. Why would we need two separate sign-up threads? But whatever...boot me then.

Yeah, that pretty much says it all.

Plus, I should mention that the best PC sports titles are Mac native - OOTP and FM, so you never need to switch to Bootcamp for them.

Eeesh, I hate to even chime in, but a few reasons why Macs are a better solution FOR ME: 1. UI Elegance. It's a hugely subjective, intangible thing, but on a Mac stuff just works the way you would expect it to. I can focus on the work I want to get done rather than wrestling with the OS. 2. Bootcamp...

Caved and picked it up yesterday. I can see that the gameplay is somewhat improved, but good god what a lot of glitches and oversights that never should have made it into a game with such a huge development budget. 1. For the love of god make those referee conferences go away. Every goal line stand ...

I'm also still enjoying this year's NCAA on the 360 - no real gamebreaking issues so far (unlike past years). However, I did also rent the PSP version and it was a huge disappointment - a pickfest (looks like the old next-gen bug has spread) and still missing a bunch of features from NCAA2007 on PSP...

Anyone try NFL2019? It's now on sale for five bucks and I'm tempted, but scared off by the touch control scheme that seems similar to RealSoccer.

Sevens is way more exciting, IMHO. Matches are far more open and you gotta love that 15 minute, multiple matches a day format. Still, there are only a handful of countries competitive (including a few surprises, like Kenya). If breadth of appeal was one of the considerations it's hard to argue how s...

Yeah, as Jared mentioned we've had good success with NCAA leagues in the past. It depends a lot on the motivation of the people involved as well as the quality of the game, and takes a hard-ass commissioner to keep things moving. The format where everyone qualifies for a bowl game and the player awa...

Interest in a DSP NCAA 2010 League (XBox 360)?

After swearing I was going to skip this year my willpower caved and I'm glad it did. Now that the roster issue is pretty much resolved with the update, I'd like to revisit the question of a DSP NCAA League along the lines of the legendary Sports Reviewers one back with NCAA 2004. I'm open to any sug...

I'm really enjoying the PSP version. The AI's defense is very tenacious even on varsity. It takes mixing it up to move the ball. One thing the game does not lack is atmosphere as has been noted in the PS360 versions. They have most of the features of the new gen versions? Rodster, did you have the ...

I've never been big on FPS, but this is the most fun I've had in multiplayer since the WWII mod for Myth II. I actually prefer that hardly anyone uses voice - being plunked down in a random team is strangely compelling as you try to sort out your role on the team without a bunch of wankers shouting ...

Actually I'm having second thoughts about getting either of the next-gen versions after reading first impressions and reviews. A lot of the problems are inexcusable for the fourth year and for $60 a pop. I'm going to stick with the PSP version for now.

Thanks guys. with so many folks here sticking with the 360 version I'll likely go that way then. Appears that EA has blocked transfer of roster files by USB on the PS3 anyway, so there goes the version's big advantage. I've been overseas for a couple of years so am willing to take a chance on this y...

NCAA Football 2010 - Which version?

Guys, I'm debating which next-gen version to pick up on Tuesday. I'm leaning toward the PS3 for the ease of updating rosters, but don't want to be left out of one of the amazing DSP leagues. I know it has traditionally been 360-based but notice that a lot of folks have migrated in recent months from...

I still don't understand the lack of love for the PSP. It's been far and away my most-played system for years. Once you run custom firmware the stuff you can do with the little system is just amazing.

Yeah Bidwell is one piece of s***. Granted, I'm no big fan and I can certainly see how someone in St. Louis would feel that way, but a part of my can't help but feel sorry for the guy. After all, it was Phoenix who wooed him with promises of a new stadium and then took what, 15 years to deliver, lo...

I'm with JRod, nothing wrong with pimping the home team, just don't do so at the exclusion of the thousands of other fascinating stories at the games. I'd still rather watch Tokyo Olympiad every four years than have to endure the hideous US network coverage. Out here we get Kiwi broadcasts, they're ...
