Guilty. The game itself is pretty good. The control scheme takes some getting used to, but after a game or two it's pretty much second nature. I can see some broken TVs as a result of sailing controllers...

Just a heads-up to not automatically pitch that uber-glossy PS3 Holiday Gift Guide that should be arriving in the mail from Sony for all registered PS3 owners. On the inside flap is a $10 off coupon on any PS3 title at Best Buy. I nearly missed this.

So what would everyone give this game on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) Yeah, it's definitely in the 8 to 9 range for me as well. Very few negatives so far, and pretty sure it will be a solid 9 once I hit on the right slider combo. I enjoy it more than 07 (although with last year's slowdown...

Question on WWSM? Do all of the logos and skins of FM work for WWSM. I don't want to get WWSM and not be able to use all the work editors do. I know the file structures are the same so I think they would be I've always bought FM. Logos, kits and other graphics yes - no problem at all. I would assum...

Yeah, intermittently. Rodster is right that it is still buggy after the beta patch, so I'm hesitant to get too far into a career just yet. Plus the content creators are still coming to grips with the new format for some of the graphics files, and the default pink/white skin makes my eyes bleed and I...

Right move - the Cities are one of the happenin'est spots around these days. I'm still acclimating myself to the area so am probably not the best one to ask. I can say first thing to do is see a show at First Avenue, and yes, dress warmly.

Absolutely nailed - this should be the definitive review of the train wreck that is PES 2008. Sadly I also couldn't agree more with Lavan's sentiment that you feel compelled to keep playing PES until FIFA adds some difference between players and sides. Assuming they can do that for next year it's ga...

Anyone that wants to crown any team a National Championship this year is the dumbest mother f'er on the planet. Bottom line is a playoff system must be implemented NOW! This season was no fluke. We're going to see plenty more college football seasons like this one down the road.. Call me crazy, but...

Evil and the Harlem Globetrotters were the only reason I watched Wide World of Sports when I was a kid. His events were classic. They were bigger than life. Exactly. Wow, what a wave of nostalgia. Evel had been like Steve Martin's letter Q - the thing furthest on the back of my mind for all these y...

Scoop, welcome to the addiction. First, cards are in very short supply - good luck finding a source. If they haven't been cleaned out in your area, check Target (in the video game section, by the PS3 titles in the case) and ToysRUs. These are your only hopes locally. Amazon used to sell boosters sin...

Meh. Downloaded, fired it up and fumbled my first possession. Picked off the CPU on their second play. Got that same sick feeling as with unpatched and NCAA. Turned off forever.

This is really pathetic, but I don't think I've ever finished a game. I came close with Halo and CMR 2005, but that's about it. I expect to finish Uncharted, though. Must be the ADD.

Blub, business wise I need Streets and Trips, Quicken Home and Business, Peachtree Accounting and Office 2007 Business Suite. Do yourself a favor and leave them both behind. Come join the apple cult and leave all your computing worries behind you. The integration of the iLife suite alone will make you a believer :) Seriously... eat the Apple... it's ok this time. I'll second that. Thirded that. I can tolerate XP (and run ...

Well, finally downloaded and it's a little underwhelming. Seems to do a slightly better job reducing the stuttering during replays, but other than that I don't see many differences. Then again, I haven't had any framerate issues during gameplay once I installed to the HD. It's possible this fixes is...

my initial impression would have to be, "I have a lot more respect for drummers now." No doubt. The first couple of times I tried the drums I couldn't help but wonder how in the hell ANYONE could do that. While it seemed well beyond my capability to ever learn for the first dozen or so times, I'm h...

Picked up the PS3 version and can confirm that the frame rate problems are very nearly gone this year. Fired up some old problematic courts (UC-Santa Barbara for one) and it seems fixed. Definitely needs some slider tweaking, but after that plays a great game. I'm 4-1 with my South Dakota State lega...

I have both, and I love the PS3 more every day. What everyone else said is spot-on. For me, everything being equal I'd always opt for the PS3 version. It just feels so much more solid to me. I just wish there were more/better third-party titles. Plus everything is in one nice elegant little box. My ...

I picked one up for the kids as well (for the PS3 - using an unpopular system does sometimes have its advantages). I'm still slogging through at about halfway. I suck at these things so have to die a thousand deaths before advancing. Still, I can't wait to get back in for more. Some of the levels are insanely fun and utilize the great graphics - like the falling trees when you're shooting the ATVs.

Damn, after Bill's initial thoughts I'd be more than happy to stick with 2K7, were it not for the slowdown on the PS3 version. I'd hate to shell out $60 just to fix slowdown and break the gameplay.
