Re: Racing Sim Thread, Part II

I blindly hit the Buy button for GRID for the price. I haven't played a GRID game since GRID 2, figured for a few bucks, it would be good for a few hours of fun. I don't have any experience with it yet, so no impressions and setting suggestions for a couple more days. Let me know if you discover se...

Re: Call of Duty Modern Warfare

I have yet to play Plunder but I keep saying I need to try it. I really like what they did with Warzone with the Gulag and being able to buy things, definitely enhances the BR game, but I would love to give Plunder go one night with you gents if you have an opening available.

Re: Coronavirus Suggestions

If the Chinese government was more transparent when this virus originated, the world would be in a better spot now. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and this virus is four times more contagious than the flu and we are still learning what it does. In China, they reported it didn't affect young peopl...

Re: Hockey Night In DSP 2019-2020

Duke already said they are not going to play in the NCAA Tournament if it isn't canceled, but that has to be on life support. Of course after 17 years of putting in for lottery Masters tickets, this is the year I finally win 2 to the Sunday round. Even that is looking dire at the moment. Just hoping...

Re: NFL Season 2019

Might as well start buying Bengals Burrow jerseysnow because that is where he is going. He has already said he would love to play in Ohio and Cincinnati is definitely the better of the two options in the NFL. He's a natural fit there and with a healthy Green, Boyd, and Eifert, the Bengals will be a ...

Re: 2019 Game Awards

But Wreckfest? Color me seriously intrigued after your review. Just read some reviews and watched some videos, and it looks like the perfect spiritual successor to Flatout and Destruction Derby, two game series I LOVED on earlier consoles. Thanks for the tip! If you enjoy any of the Destruction Der...

Re: 2019 Game Awards

2019 was a great year for gaming and there were a lot of pleasant surprises for me. BEST SPORTS GAME: Snooker 19 I don't play too many "traditional" sports games but Ripstone games created a very authentic feel to billiards. Snooker is a fun game to play and there is much strategy involved. Since it...

Re: Next Gen XBOX (Project Scarlett) and PlayStation 5

It is fantastic! The stick tensioning is huge for me! I set it to the stiffest setting and love it! My only game of Modern Warfare I played at lunch with it, I had 25 kills 7 deaths, starting out the game with a triple kill, all headshots from a distance. Can already tell my aiming is going to be mu...

Re: XBOX Game Pass (Ultimate)

I have The Outer Worlds preloaded on my Xbox, excited to try it out because Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas were two of my favorite games. From initial impressions, it appears to be an awesome game! The only thing stopping me from playing it at midnight is that I'll probably be in Modern Warfare whi...

Re: Next Gen XBOX (Project Scarlett) and PlayStation 5

I love my Elite 1 controller, but it is definitely showing signs of being worn out, so I will be getting an Elite 2. Looking forward to the stick tensioning and having much improved rubber grips.

Re: Ghost Recon Break Point

Far Cry marrying Ghost Recon is definitely what Breakpoint is. And its a good thing because I think the best of both games is shown here. Enjoying what I have seen so far, but only have played a couple hours. Got spotted by a drone last night and the enemies were relentless. Seemed I ran forever and...

Re: NFL Season 2019

Ridiculous double standard by the NFL on the helmet-to-helmet hit by the Pats' DB on Josh Allen in the fourth quarter yesterday. That player should have been ejected, and any other DB in the NFL would have been tossed if that hit was made on Tom Brady. Please don't misconstrue this as an excuse for...

Re: Racing Sim Thread, Part II

I've put about 4 hours into WRC 8 the past couple days and here are my impressions thus far. WRC 5 wasn't a bad game, WRC 6 was definitely a step back, WRC 7 was a very impressive game, improving on everything that WRC 5 did right. WRC 8 is definitely as big of a jump in quality as 7 was in 5. We'll...

I remember taking the day off work and waiting in line at 6am at Babbages to pick up that console. Definitely one of the best ever, also introduced us to online gaming. Phantasy Star Online caused me to be up past 3am on many nights! Speed Devils Online was so fun! Was blown away by Soul Calibur's g...

WRC 8 released in Europe yesterday and so far all the initial impressions are that this game is quite amazing! WRC 7 was great and it looks like Kylotonn has improved on every aspect of that game in the latest release! I've been foaming at the mouth for this game to release. I don't know why, but I...

Re: Wreckfest

I wouldn't say it has a real racing feel to it. Its definitely more on the arcady side of things, but you don't have to take the other guy out to win either. Overall the racing is fun because of all the wreckage that can occur. And yes, if you bump into the AI, they can become a rival and will look ...
