You guys seem like Toca RD2 veterans so once I get the game are there any obvious changes that need to be made in the settings, etc.?

Exactly. The slower pace allows you to set up in the zone...especially on powerplays.

Just gave them a try Grog and I like them alot. Totally eliminating the speed burst makes things alot more challenging. I lost to Anaheim with the Flyers 2-0. Shots on goal were 31-27. I'm gonna keep them for a while.

Had an intense race in California the other night. Qualified 5th then couldn't hold off Gordon late in the race (I think like 35 or so...

I'm looking to get a racing game for my XBOX and figured I would come to you guys for advice. I downloaded a demo of TOCA Race Driver and its very cool. I wouldn't mind getting it but if there is something better please post. Thanks in advance.

47" Panasonic HDTV with Sony shelf system wired in for "semi-suround" sound. I sit in my rocker/recliner while gaming.

I have a widescreen HDTV set to 480p and had a flawless online game last night. I lost but no lag/disconnects.

Looks awesome. I can't wait to play it online. GR is my favorite XBL game.

Oh yeah and a very cool thing I saw. CPU was on a PP and the center got the puck after I cleared it. "He" waited behind his net for the forwards to arrive back for the rush. One forward actually went in front of him...he waited patiently then boom...here they come. Cool.

Penalty killing is very cool with this game. I don't mean to keep harping on the right analog "total stick control" but its awesome. Pull and hold the left trigger to skate backwards then use the right stick to sweep your stick back and forth to poke check. I was pinning guys on the boards, elbowing...

Only penalties I had in my first game were 2 fights. It was only one game though.

I disagree with most of Tims's opinions.There is much more new to this game then a roster update and new bells and whistles.The Franchise mode is leaps above last years alone.Though,not enought time yet to find franchise bugs,but scouting the minor leagues is cool.The ai definietlly cycles the puck...
