I trust most of you here and your thoughts on X game... and I think I'll wait on MLB 2006. Like most of you MVP is just a great game all around. I think I'm going to start playing a game, managing a few games, rinse and repeat, as I want to get into the playoffs and offseason to see what it's like i...

I'm reading some posts from people who don't like MVP's pitching. I love it. It's been very challenging on AS defaults for me. Mulder and Carpenter pitch well most of the time, Morris can either pitch shutout ball or hang cb's for homeruns, Suppan spots his pitches very well, and Marquis gets into t...

So I was playing Red Sox vs. Cardinals, I'm controlling the Sox, and Schilling throws a wild pitch to the backstop with a man on third. Runner scores, Varitek throws the ball to Schilling covering the plate, Schilling hangs on to the ball for a second, then starts RUNNING TOWARDS CENTERFIELD. I can...

And as for the field dimensions/extra bases thing, I think it was just Great American Ballpark. Is that a relatively small stadium? Either that or the couple balls I thought should have been easy extra bases were simply TATTOOED. In later games in other stadiums, things seemed totally fine I played...

That's not why I posted the screen shot... actually this is about 3 builds behind in beta.. it's was just weird to see a team like that and on the highest difficulty setting contending with the Yanks, is well.. quite a task. The roster issues are getting cleaned up, I'm still VERY optomistic about A...

You nailed it JRod. If a game has me messing with sliders time and time again, it stops becoming fun and I lose patience with it. I've been playing MVP on AS defaults right out of the box and although I'm in dead last place, I love the game. I've switched my hitting back to the "center" view (defaul...

If the injury/suspension happens while simming games, DO NOT select optimize from there, it's messed up my rosters something fierce. Select "fix manually" from there it will take you to that level's roster and then select "cpu optimize". It only optimizes that particular roster. Hope this helps. Todd

A huge, huge issue is the CPU Optimize function. It absolutely sucks. Why in the hell can't we designate CPU Optimize say...AAA only? Why when I hit that button does the CPU totally FUBAR my entire damn team? That might be the most asinine design feature I have seen. As long as you optimize in that...

I had a pitcher go yard on me last night. I'll telling you, I've seen things in MVP this year I've never seen in a console baseball game yet. Man on first, I bunt it to the pitcher, he turns around and fires it fast to the 2nd baseman (game is tied 1-1) and in his rush to get him the ball, it sails ...

Heck, the CPU threw a no-hitter against me. Todd Out of curiousity, Todd, anything special happen when you were no-hit? Did the announcers comment on it, or did the rest of the team mob the cpu pitcher or anything like that? About the 7th inning after an out they would say, the no-hitter is still i...

I've switched back to the default 6/4 (center) batting camera. The hitter's eye view is just too hard for me to pick the ball up fast enough to swing. I scored 3 runs when I switched the view. Now all I have to do is get used to the pitcher being further away. I did notice a RH hitting batting again...

The funny thing is, reading all the posts by people who post each friggin stat and say, "the average # of walks was 4.5 per game last year and I'm only averaging about 1 per game". -or- "Dr. J's sliders rock! Just won a game 8-4 over the Phillies and everything was perfect." A few games later, "Dr. ...

I agree. If a game becomes a slider fest, I take it back. There are exceptions (see Bill Abner's NCAA 2003-04 football settings, Grog's NHL settings, and Bill Harris's ESPN NFL sliders), but MVP plays great on AS defaults. Perfect? Heck no, but very fun... I still can't hit and I'm 6-15 with the Car...

I am getting absolutely hammered on All-Pro right now. I had trouble scoring already, but now for some reason my pitching has just gone to hell. I'm actually still striking guys out, but giving up too many dingers and extra-base hits. I think I'm probably trying to nibble too damn much, and Leebo i...

I'll say this and then I'm done singing the praises of this game. Point and case: Ben Sheets just threw a no-hitter against me and their hitters beat the hell out of my pitching staff 11-0. I'm numb, even though I was losing all game, I wanted that one hit. One lousy hit and I couldn't do it. I don'...
