I wish you could - and the people in the official beta test can - but since it won't let others use it and get on Live, it won't work.

I have played only a few games on it so far - NCAA 09, NHL 09, oblivion and Fallout 3. The loads were a little quicker but I would guess more like 5-10 seconds tops.

With the preview program there are lots of impressions floating around. I do have to say that the more I play with the new 16:10 resolution for my monitor, the more i like it. I guess it is a combination of using the monitor's default resolution and 1680 x 1050 being higher than 1280x1024. I think t...

The New Xbox Experience (beta impressions)

I saw that the new Xbox experience is already on the torrents, so I downloaded it to try it. Note: if you put it on your 360 and connect to live you will be disconnected and booted off until 11/19/08 so I don't recommend this process. It was an easy process. You download a RAR file, unzip it and the...

George W. Bush gave more terrorists a free ride back to Saudi Arabia on 09/12/2001 than Obama could befriend if he lived to be 100 - and Bush did it with our tax dollars as we sat in our houses and prayed for those who died in the terrorist attacks. Seven plus years, two wars, thousands of American ...

Shouldn't the person in charge be able to pull in some votes from his own party? Isn't he W - The President? Where's the love? Where's the trust? Why not look to our leader?? Why can't we trust him and his plan that may well be fair and balanced and could lead us out of this mess?? Come on, most of ...

You know what amazes me most about reading back through the last few pages here is the outrage that people still feel for Clinton's blowjob. Here we have an administration in office that outed a CIA operative in a time of war and in the name of politics and yet all I heard was crickets when that wen...

I can't imagine anyone who has seen McCain in an informal interview setting question his intelligence - for example his appearances on The Daily Show. My concern with McCain is will we get the reasonable sounding man I have seen in interviews or the guy on the campaign trail who uses commercials tha...

I am watching the Falcons game on TV and actually enjoying the game. It has been a while since i have seen the Falcons play a game with an actual NFL game plan. Assuming that they don't blow the 10 point lead and win this game, I think they could be respectable this year - which is all I could expec...

I could care less if McCain knew Palin before making the choice - although that sounds like nonsense to me. Personally, I think it was an inspired choice. And while she is 'only' a governor - and of a state with about the population of San Francisco, what does that mean? Texas, for example, is a muc...

By the end of the season, Wake Forest might be the only ACC team in the top 25. At least they are fun to watch - as is the new Georgia Tech under Paul Johnson. Honestly, I was not surprised. I thought that East Carolina might have a chance - especially at home. And I figured that Clemson would gag a...

My strongest memory of Biden is watching his testicles shrink to the size of baby peas during the Clarence Thomas hearings. I have had little use for him since. Every time I see how Clarence Thomas votes on an issue before the court, I think of Joe Biden. "Thanks Joe" I think to myself. Clarence Tho...

I have got to say that I can't remember anyone finding out that they had pancreatic cancer on a Sunday and then basically dying the following week. He must have had a very high pain threshold - it just boggles the mind that he could be that sick and not even know what was wrong. My thoughts go out t...

I noticed the sidelines as well - because they do react in NCAA. I also like in NCAA how the away crowd reacts differently from the home crowd. The other thing I noticed that felt unrealistic in those videos was Randy Moss hustling down the field to make the tackle after the pick. I have been at the...

Personally, I think that GB should show some balls and trade Favre to the Vikings for a 2nd round pick.

I am sick of the whole story. I almost wish that Terrell Owens would do something 'newsworthy'.

I don't think the noise of the DVD drive will be in issue when the fall update comes out. One of the promised code changes includes saving a game to the hard drive and not using the DVD drive. Of course to avoid piracy, you will still need the game in the drive, but still, games will be quiet and co...

I do with this game what I used to do with some of the flawed 2K college basketball titles of years past - I play for a few days and if something pisses me off I take a day or so off and get back to it. I think that clearly a message is being sent to EA by customers. I noticed that on Major Nelson's...

I have messed with a number of sliders and I just don't know if they really make a lot of difference. The key sliders for me are to increase kick strength for the AI so that I can't do much on returns and lower tackling to make the AI run game viable. I think i will try a season and see how it goes....

Based on what I have read, I think the answer is yes, but is Lucinda Williams always such a monster on stage? Funny, but the best game I have had so far was a mascot game. I basically just went into it to get the gamer points but ended up playing it out. At one point in the game i was losing 15-6 with all the points being scored by FGs. Probably because they max out all the player attributes for mascots it ...

The main thing that keeps me coming back for more is that I am having fun with the game. I think that for me, the fun comes out of the variety of things that can happen in a game. Last year I did not see that variety. And for every stupid thing the AI does, there are high points where the AI burns y...

I admit that I cheat a little on defense occasionally as well. For some weird reason that probably has to do with the AI programming, if you pull a defensive lineman back into coverage, the remaining linemen get a better rush and even sacks. And I am not talking about coverage sacks. Moving D lineme...
