Players are starting to complain, there's a Facebook petition for a ban, but doubt Blatter will do much about it, now or in the later stages of the WC. If it's noticeable on the broadcast, I can only imagine how bad it is at the stadiums. Those guys must have some lungs because it never lets up. John

I'd hate to think of the numbers involved. I see Jim Nantz's ex getting almost a cool million a year and shudder.

In thinking about Michael Jackson's career, I realized I had not listened to any of his big hits in over 20 years. This may be more due to the quality of 80's music which has not had the staying power of previous rock/pop decades. I remember growing up in the 70's/80's that names like the Beatles an...

Sad news if true. I remember when he was as big (or bigger) than the Beatles. Everything he wrote turned to gold. And then a downfall of such freakish proportions.

I guess this would quality as the third of three with Ed McMahon and Farah Fawcett.

I was thinking of starting an NBA off-season thread, but thought better of it. :D Just want to say I'm excited about Shaq coming to town. And I love that they really didn't give up much... Ben Wallace, who may or may not retire, and Sasha Pavlovic, who never really seemed to live up to his potentia...

THE very definition of vaporware...unless, of course, Bethesda or Rockstar buys the rights and releases it for Take2. I'd be surprised if anyone would pony up the bucks for the naming rights, regardless, seeing as most teenagers probably never played a single Nukem game and most of the original fan...

I hate to be the major pessimist here, but how long has the playoff conversation been going on? Certainly as long as I've been following sports (30+ years). The BCS was a compromise that allowed the bowl system to remain in place while creating a championship game. That was considered a major step a...
