In my living room with my eight-year-old son, and anyone else who cares to join us.

I have been to one Super Bowl party in my life and I don't ever intend to do it again.

And the announcement will be made on Super Bowl Friday, so it will be buried even deeper in sports pages, sportscasts and Web sites in the U.S. Maybe the NHL and NHLPA are doing that by design, crawling away in anonymity due to becoming the first North American sports league to cancel a season due ...

That's a great point and one that shouldn't be overlooked.

FOX estimates a potential 1 billion audience this year. But as PK said, a huge hype-machine goes with it. 700M for a regular season weekday match which, in all honesty, was not particularly consequential in terms of league position or European qualification, is more impressive in my opinion.

O'Shea's goal was one of the cheekier chips I've seen this season. Very clever goal, and very onsides. I agree. That was beautiful. I also thought the cross from Giggs on ManU's thrid goal was one of the best crosses I have seen in a long, long time. It wasn't the longest great cross I've seen, but...

As an Illini fan, this game doesn't worry me all that much. I'm sure MSU can win, but I think Illinois knows what it's getting in to and will be ready for the challenge. If both teams bring their "A" game, Illinois should win. The game I'm more concerned about is the return game at Iowa later in Feb...

To the Missouri guys: I know that Mizz/Kansas are in the same conference, I was just wondering is that rivalry bigger than the Illinois/Missouri rivalry?? Yes, it's bigger. The Illini-Mizzou basketball game is a huge game, but that's about it between Mizzou and Illinois. The game has kind of genera...

I like Quin Snyder a lot. It's too bad because it looks like if no improvement in a couple years it will be fairly hard to justify keeping him, but I like him anyway

This game is near and dear to my heart. I'd love to see a Mizzou upset but I don't hold out much hope. You're right about throwing out the records, which is a great measure of how good a rivalry this really is. Two great programs with great traditions where the favorite has been upset on numerous oc...

I can see your point about it not progressing. I never played GT1. I played GT2 to death, having completed it 100% at least twice and starting again just this past weekend. I played GT3 about half-way through but quit out of boredom and went back to GT2. I've probably played GT2 more than any other ...

Consider me another lemming. I don't know why, but I just like playing this game. It's not a racing title for sure, but I don't buy it for the racing. Not sure why I buy it because I'm not that big a car freak either. But for me, it's fun. I like it and my kids like it too. Most people hate the lice...

Yes, I've seen it a handful of times. First time I saw it, I tuned in about 15 minutes into the match and had no idea it was a "show". I just thought it was more "local" announcers and thought it was hilarious ... kind of like football with a more local flavor. I thought it was really interesting. N...

The best commentary I've ever heard in a video game is still the NCAA Football series.

A game that has three different sets of commentary for the fullback scoring a touchdown on a short yardage run up the middle has good commentary.

Fifa 2005
ESPN College Hoops
Hot Shots 3
NASCAR Race for the Cup
Gran Turismo 3 (Used)
Football Manager 2005

I no longer own the NASCAR, Hot Shots, WTS, and Madden, so net, I figure about $250 for games.

What do you guys think about this? Yesterday was my daughter's 13th birthday. Keep in mind though that fans and taxpayers also benefit from these arrangements. If large boosters don't contribute a significant chunk of the head coach's salary, it either means that said coach won't receive that salary and head elsewhere, or the university picks up the tab in full, and because s...

I've never started as a big team to learn the game, but I can see where that's useful. My advice is start with your favorite and have fun, but when you're serious about starting a "career" (assuming that's how you want to play), start with a lower level team in a major league or a first division tea...
